You can just keep doing World 1 daily for baublebubbles and you will eventually have 50 of them for your torch.
and if you got +- 30g you can exchange gold for gems so no real money needed, stop whining please. its do-able if you try it atleast more then once…
piken square
I’ve been trying for 3 days and after doing World 1 with some difficulty (but not to much) when it first came out and doing it by myself with no one else, I thought this would be doable by one’s self, but I feel I was mistaken… BTW I’ve been playing since September 2012 the most gold I’ve ever had at one time is current, 24g 54s, (I don’t get much time to play so I can’t build up gold like some cash cow, and I sure as kitten can’t buy it) I’m not whining there is a difference between that and complaing thank you. and I was talking about the in box torch to get past the frozen waterfall, not the weapon skin
P.S. Gem prices are ridiculous, to buy gems with in-game money is like saying “Here take many, many, many hours that I will never get back, and allow me to spend them just to get something that will wean the difficulty level slightly.”
SAB is a huge time sink, no EXP and not coin for doing it. I messed around with it for a bit and did not have fun. I played enough 8-bit games when I was the OP’s age. I’ll be heading back to GW2 and if I want flash backs to the 80’s I dust off my old NES.
Do it with a team. Out of 5 ppl surely someone will reach the checkpoint, if someone does suicide and you’re up their with them. Thats what i did with my team if one of us made it.
our NES power chord broke a few months ago lol… my family is pretty much inactive on GW2 right now, and I don’t team up with strangers well, so this is a serious challenge, but I understand where you’re coming from
Let me try to help with baubles.
The only purple bauble location in World 1 that I know of is in Zone 2 in the room with the Queen Beedog. Climb up the tree and jump to the corner of the room. Dig there for a chest with the purple bauble. So that’s 50 bauble once per day.
It seems like you’ve made it to World 2 Zone 3. There are two yellow baubles worth 10 in the very beginning of the zone. One on a small hill above the hillbillies. The other can be found by scaling the first giant face and then jumping back onto a ledge. You should see it in view and jump some more to get it. Those baubles don’t require digging, so you can farm it by zoning out and back in.
i recall the devs saying that bobbles were never intended to be as farmable as they were in the first release.
tbh you shouldnt be surprised they nerfed multiple alt speed runs for bobble bobbles and zoning in to 1-2 for 40 bobbles. it was kind of abusive. i know my full mesmer set is gonna be harder to get… well until i truly get world 1 trib mode down to a science.
thats where they moved the real rewards, to tribulation.
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions

Stop whining? i’m so sick of seeing this…The guy just wants to play the content and actually get something for it. And for some people 30g is a significant amount to pay for an item that shouldn’t be required for content that is supposed to be fun. It was so “fun” I just bought the few skins I wanted and skipped it completely after I tried it with the nerfs to baubles and once a day time gating. And don’t pitch the “its optional” excuse because that’s weak. We keep excusing so many things in this game saying its optional but guess what, everything in this is optional because of the mostly horizontal progression system. If the endgame is going to be cosmetic then everyone wants to feel like they can reasonably get the new fotm skin and right now how skins are being done (be it buying keys to play rng or grinding mass amounts of time limited currency) is not fun or player friendly. When a game starts with junk like this its usually because of the lack of core gameplay that can produce something both challenging but rewarding and they try to cover for it by adding cheese mmo mechanics like time gating or the need mass temporary currency farming.
