Just quickly – SAB is an amazing, amazing piece of content by ANet. I was laughing pretty much the entire time (peppered with a few expletives in the water fountain puzzle in zone 3

I also like the fact that Josh is here to answer questions about it and receive much-deserved bouquets (gotta accept them when they’re on offer, right?)

My question is this: is there any inventory item, or UI confirmation, that you have bought the bauble purse (costs 250 baubles, allows you to hold 500)? I bought it today on my first and only run through (I died not that long after on the frog boss) before realizing I had nothing in my UI that indicated I had purchased the purse. I assume that it is something that is supposed to remain with you on future runs through the dungeon.

Hope to get a definitive answer either way because it would suck if I had lost it somehow.

Its in world 1 zone 3 in a shop that requires a bit of tricky jumping – across one of the carnivorous plants – to get to. It is not especially hidden.

Although I haven’t had an answer, I have another question. Are the items account bound or (as I suspect) character bound? Just wondering if I run through with my alt tonight whether its worth buying the purse again.

I had really expected the purse to appear somewhere on the UI so if I somehow lost it by dying/re-entering the instance, it’d be good to know!

Afaik, all items are permanent buy, not instance-bound.

Are the items per character? That is would you need to buy purse upgrade for each character or just once for the account?

I’m guessing it is by character but want to be sure.

This is all good, but can anyone who has purchased the purse indicate whether they see ANYTHING in their UI that indicates they own it (I presume the number of baubles would go beyond 250, but evidently I haven’t got there yet).

I would have expected the purse to show up somewhere on the hotkeys for 6 – 0 or elsewhere in the UI, but nada. Perhaps someone who has purchased it can confirm?

Items are per character and the purse doesn’t actively display anything extra on your UI, but you will get part of an achievement for it.
