I sat down and did some math, and if I’m dedicated and put in some time every day from now until the end of the month, I’ll come up with right about 750 BBs.

That’s enough to buy 250 each of the three major components for a Legendary weapon.

However, here’s my question for those of you who have gone down the road to a Legendary – do you think this is a comparatively time efficient method of farming these items?

I’ll be missing out on all character experience, loot, gold, and karma while pursuing this, so there’s a definite sacrifice.

But if I would be acquiring Obsidian Shards/Crystals/Philosopher’s Stones at a greater rate than I could farming them elsewhere, I might tackle it.

I need some outside input here, both because it’s a fairly significant commitment of time on my part, and because I don’t know how much of a grind it is to get those materials via other methods. If I’d be saving myself weeks (or months!) of farming down the road, this might be a worthwhile ’short’cut.

Yes, SAB is by farm the best way to farm your Obsidian Shards and Mystic Clovers. If your speed farming SAB you can get 18 Bauble Bubbles from the chests per hour. That is equivalent to 37,800 Karma per/hr or 18 levels per hours using Crystals/Stones for Clover attempts. You are also not wasting your skill points on clover attempts which can instead be used for the Bloodstone Shard.

If you are speed farming you wont get 18 Bauble Bubbles from the chests per hour, you will get 30BB at least. I have 7 toons I do the first two zones with every day. I am done in an hour and I have 28 BB from the 14 chests I and 2 BB from the little bubbles I collect. I am not even sure if I am doing the most efficient way of farming still 30bb per hour means 63k karma or 18 skillpoint in philo stones. It is just ridiculous!

Though the thing is. Why would you want a legendary when the SAB skins are so awesome? They literally out shine Legendaries.

Any SAB weapon skin seems to be even more rare than Twilight and Sunrise that everyone and their mother got

When they make a legendary short bow that shoots lightning bolts instead of rainbow ponies. That’ll be the day legendaries perk my interest.

I have no intention of making one, but stocked up anyways. Yes, it’s the most efficient way to get these items.

Running W1 Z1-2 takes about 5m 40s (42 per hour), while running Z1-3 takes about 10m (36 per hour), if you’re good at speed running them. Add another 2 minutes for time to start and possible errors and your gains should be 30 baubles an hour.

If you choose to create new characters to farm baubles, running Z1-3 becomes slightly more efficient. From character select to the end takes about 15m, resulting in 24 baubles an hour.

It certainly is. Kinda disappointed though that on one hand its such valuable reward – getting Obsidian Shards etc. for cheap, on other hand: if you are not planing on getting Legenadary weapons they are useless to you – thus the only way to spend baubles is on skins…

Should add “Orrian Box” for baubles or something instead.
