King Toad's Amulet
According to someone on this forum, it just resets back to 100% health again.
Which is a shame. I think it would be awesome if you got a special reward or achievement for doing so.
I noticed it the first day. with just me and a guildie trying to find a way to hurt it before we ran out of coins Xp We thought we had to break the necklace first before we could even hit the boss (saw the frogs life bar appear when tongue wags) till we took a quick break to see why the hell it was kicking our kitten and found out the real point behind the shards.
I only tried it on infantile mode though. If you want to take a group of five in there and smash at the thing in normal mode, let us know if you get anything. Tip: The amulet cannot be hit during a bellyflop cycle or when the mouth opening cycle. After a few rounds he starts to change his attack rotation. some rounds he just bellyflops and then opens his mouth, giving you no chance.
On the first day, I believe it was possible to kill the amulet.
Doing so would cause it to no longer be targetable, and because it couldn’t be attacked, it would stop dropping crystal fragments to attack the boss with. As far as I know, it had no death animation because we weren’t intended to do enough damage to kill it…
That was fixed pretty quickly. It’s immortal now.
@Zebulous: There’s a spot in the arena that his lick doesn’t reach. Find it. It’s a little higher than everything else you can stand on.

Apparently you can also stand right underneath his chin, although I haven’t tested this.

can confirm this. is what i usually do if he opens with this since i can’t get a gem out of the ammy. you take zero dmg. : )) though unsure how big a margin of error you get. once i stepped too far in and got poisoned by the water.
