Guild Wars 2

Currently experiencing the SAB with my guild. I’m really impressed. AN never fail to impress with “holiday” events.

Kudos to you, AN. Keep up the work.

Seriously whoever the design lead/designers were for this event. Give them a nice big hug and buy them a beer or something. I’m sure it took everyone to pull this off but I seriously want to thank whoever it was that managed to catch that feel of 8 bit gaming.
I couldn’t have asked for an homage that felt truer. From the princess kidnap scene to the way the little sound effects to the way the enemies die.
Its hitting me in all my happy spots. Its clearly been very well thought out down to the tinest details.
Even the trailer caught the narm/totally rad (and distinct lack of actual gameplay) from 80’s videogame trailers

Me and my friends call(ed) ourselves former GW2 players. I personally hadn’t logged in since just after Wintersday left. I didn’t feel much motivation. There wasn’t much fun for me, a PvEer, as you kept adding and fixing PvP. Don’t get me wrong, those fixes and additions were needed, but the “Flame and Frost” stuff didn’t get me or my friends saying “oooo we gotta go see that.”

Cue facebook post about the Box.

I’ve never laughed as hard in a game since Portal 2. You’ve outdone yourselves, and given me plenty of motivation to play….. must…… save…….princess!!!

I agree I felt much the same until I played this, it’s amazing!!

This is the best thing you’ve ever done!!! No, everything’s a best thing, but this is better! Especially the easy mode for those of us without nimble fingers anymore. <3 <3 <3

This “mini” game is amazing… A game in the game! As an old-school player I love so much this revamp of old-school platform game. I love it’s an istance to play in team too… as a group of guild friends we enjoyed so much to try this new content together!
I wonder how you’d found the time to program all this… :)

Just chiming in as well. This is some great content, and it brought a big smile to my face playing through it.

This has to be bar-none the best thing (so far) that’s ever happened in GW2! Just spent over an hour with a pug inside the SAB and we all had a blast. Thanks for Lol’s Anet.

just noticed that the main theme (at the character select screen) got an 8-bit demake. Here, I thought the SAB was already icing on the cake, you had to go and put a cherry on top of it too, did you Anet? Again, Thanks for bringing a genuine smile to my face today.

ArenaNet, Super Adventure Box is hilariously, amazingly fun and incredibly well designed. Excellent, excellent stuff. I love this update and would absolutely love there to be more of it.

LOVE the Super Adventure Box. Congratulations to the ANet team on a job very well done. It’s a blast and brought a huge smile to my face, especially the music.

Just wanted to say, you guys did an incredible job. Super Adventure Box is an absolute blast, and everyone involved in putting it together should be proud. Seriously some of the most fun I’ve had in GW2, and it went completely above and beyond my expectations.

Also, that commercial you guys put together? I could hardly breathe I was laughing so hard.

Awesome work guys, can’t wait for the entire SAB experience to be complete!

Easily the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in a video game. Ever.

I hate to keep beating the dead horse here, but this is really just something else. The skins are awesome and the puzzles themselves are just mind-blowing. You can really tell it came from the heart. Truly a talented team of devs who worked on this. I’m happy shell out some money for gems for this.

This is fantastic, even with the (now fixed I believe) frog bug. Loving every second.
