I was pretty surprised to find lava in Sunny Glade, right next to the first check point

Yup, we know, been posted before.

It’s probably because the ‘’Game Over’’ scene is there, with the lava, metal shark, schyte, and crushing wall, and bombs, with Moyo infront of you selling a coind to continue.

hmm i forgot about this, i wonder what it’s there for, i know for sure that it’s not where the “Game Over” area is as thats near the ‘Rapids’ map area.
maybe just a filler thing that looks cool, i didn’t see any lava when i was in that area on my adventure but may be i missed it.

You can see it after you get the zoomed out camera glitch from mapping out while in “boss camera” mode. Might be the game over scene, might be some kinda default texture, or something that was just never removed. OR an easter egg as you probably want to believe :P

Wait, don’t tell me that hard mode means the whole floor gets covered in lava, and you can only move around by jumping from platform to platform?

My childhood of playing the floor is lava will not be wasted!

It was part of hard mode. But we had to pull hard mode until next time. It’s just sitting there… waiting.

Are there going to be achievements for completing hard mode?

That would also be awesome. Kind of like with the Clocktower. I’m looking forward to what kind of sadistic challenges Josh and his team have in store for us for hard mode.

That’s fiendish… >.< But I agree that it would make perfect sense for Hard Mode; include a timer.
