I just opened what I think is my 125th chest. No skins.

I don’t know if i’m lucky or what but i got a super greatsword skin on my first time beating King Toad.

I never would have guessed a 1 in 50 drop rate. I try to run SAB Z1 & Z2 every night on 8 characters with my bf, so that’s roughly 32 chests a day. Between the two of us we’ve gotten 5 skins total since the beginning of the event. I’m left to assume that our luck is simply terrible.

-100+ SAB chests : 0 skin
-50+ Fractal 20+ runs : 1 skin (harpoon, can’t use it)
-500+ MF tries with rares : 0 precursor
-1000hours+ played : 0 precursor dropped

Question about drops – do you need to be running SAB on a lvl 80 character to get the skins to drop? Or do they drop at any level?

Any level character seems appropriate. I’ve gotten two skins on my level 15 banker.

I can confirm you get it in any level. I got most of mine in level 2 characters.

I started running this on my 5 characters last Friday. After 105 chest I got my first skin, a Shortbow.

Every chest at the end of each zone has a 2% chance of dropping a skin (not in infantile mode). That works only on the first time you complete the zone with each character each day.

For me, the very first chest I opened I got a Longbow skin. I’ve tried doing at least one run a day, probably about 40-50 chests total and nothing else so far. I was spoiled.

- About 20 chests
- 1 shield skin

Guess I’m somewhat lucky.

Same here. Around 150 chests and not a single skin. I hate my “luck”…

Almost 200 chests and a whopping 2 skins, both staves.

Six solo runs a day (though I usually only do worlds 1 and 2), nearly every day, zero drops. Take a buddy with me for his first run, and he gets a drop from the first chest. Two conclusions:
1) Some people have all the luck.
2) I should never gamble in Vegas.

I got enough baubles to get every skin from the trader. I got no skins from the chest. I don’t care to do the math…

If it wasn’t for this thread I would have never known that skins drop from the chest. I run SAB a minimum of 5x a day since it launched, days when I have a little more time I run all 8 of my characters. So yeah minimum of 15 chest per day since launch, i am sure I am well over the 300 chest mark with not a single skin drop. Nothing like ruining a good thing by attaching a crappy rng system to it.

I hadn’t gotten any skins until last weekend, when I got three. Luck is a strange beast.

I have probably done 125 runs and gotten 2 greatsword skins back to back on one and two around run 50ish none since.

About 300 chests sofar I got 4 longbow; 1 sword; 2 scepters and 1 shield. Got 1 stack of BB and 1 stack of continue coins stored away for the next SAB update; 1 stack of obi shards and bought the backpack; the greatsword; the shield and the staff from Moto. I’ll keep running my 5 toons every day until its gone. With a bit of luck I’ll be able to get a stack of crystals before that time. I’m in need of them to upgrade my cores to lodestones.

I have done about 65-70 chests so far, 0 skins.

I would also like to say I have never gotten skins on any of these events no matter how many runs I have done (into the 300s on a couple of events). I actually seriously think there is some “Account based Loot Find” or something that gets randomly bestowed on creation? That’s how paranoid I am getting about never finding anything…. ever (including Black Lion Chests etc).

Makes it even worse when I watch a vid of a walkthrough and the commenter brushes off a skin loot as, meh, like it happens so frequently for them it’s just thrown on the pile.

I got one today. A shield from the frog boss’s chest.
Out of about 140+ chests, this is my second one.

My first one was on my very first Sab run. It was also a shield from the frog boss’s chest.

I don’t have good or bad luck, Just weird luck.

Got shield skin yesterday

i ran this dugeon on 5 characters a day for 2 weeks speed running and i got 3 greatswords 1 staff and 1 shield skin.

It’s been a while since I got a skin, 2 days ago I got a staff skin after like a week of running all three zones in world 1 on all 9 of my characters everyday. Funny thing too because I gifted a friend a staff skin before I got it back at the Super Adventure Box lol

I used to average 1-2 skins a day.. they definitely changed the drop rate. These skins aren’t returning so I can see why they would reduce the drop rate, Josh Foreman keeps saying that he wants these skins to be prestigious in the future too, now ontop of these skins becoming discontinued they rate at which they drop is even lower.

So this was rather odd, got a scepter skin on Zone 2 and then another on Zone 3. So maybe around 150 chests and 3 skins.

A bit of a drought during the last week but still beating the 1:50 average. Maybe it will even itself out a little more, but a good run nonetheless.

Well, I had the strong impression that drops were nerfed. Then I come here and see I am not the only one. Guess we had another ninja change, that is reflected in super skin prices, which skyrocket on the last week. Of course this will be deleted for “conspiracy theory” or whatever they name it, but with the prices rising and the complete lack of skins for me in all those days, I have reasons to believe the drop rate has changed. Was it only me, it could be bad luck, but my bad luck wouldnt justify prices rising 3×.

Well, in contrast to my usual case where everyone else gets average or better and I get 1 in 67 billion of whatever, I’m pretty much right on the nose with this one:

258 chests : 5 skins = 1.94%

No greatsword, and oddly, neither of the bows, but one or two of the rest. Also (to my chagrin) sold off an extra sword skin several days ago but don’t recall how many chests I popped to get that one, so not counted.

And if I weren’t being possessed by a greed monster I’d be absolutely sick of SAB.

So what are you guys doing with all your skins? There’s less than 1000 skins on the TP right now. About a week ago there were only a few 100. Seems that more people are selling , which is dropping the price again. I really wonder how many are being hoarded though.

Also I started farming them daily again on the 21st and haven’t had a skin yet (15 chests a day). So that’s 90 chests, no skin. And that’s not including the time I spent farming earlier in the month. I opened about 200 chests earlier in the month, and got 3 skins. So I guess I’m averaging about 1 in 100.

The current skins are confirmed to be removed from the game and replaced with a full set. That can only result in one thing. This is why I stock up on my green skins and see my gold skin drops as a long term investment.
