I read the FAQ about this event it says “Moto has set up shop at the north end of Rata Sum, near the portal to Lion’s Arch.”

I go looking all around Lion’s Arch nothing
Look on google for Rata Sum and have no idea where it is. GW2 always does this makes events I can’t do/finish

Head over to the Gate Hub Plaza (Waypoint) in Lion’s Arch, go through the south west Asura Gate (on the map), the Rata Sum Asura Gate, to go to Rata Sum, the Asuran home city. Straight up the stairs ahead and on your immediate right, is the Super Adventure Box.

Walk up the holographic stairs, a prompt will ask if you wish to Enter Story Mode (Level 1). Click this button to enter the Super Adventure Box. Note that you can quite easily solo the whole thing, even though it says Recommended Players: 5, or you can team up with other players and go through it with them, which may or may not be more fun for you.

That would be the NORTH END OF RATA SUM. You know, the huge floating Asura main city.

Which happens to be the end, where the portal to Lion’s Arch is placed.

if you dont know where Rata Sum is, that is not the devs fault…
also i’m preety sure that if you google “gw2 rata sum” it would give a billion links to how to get to rata sum, maps of rata sum, etc.
Last thing, when did they last do an event you couldnt finish? If you mean Karka event, then sure but they did offer a special reward. And if you were playing the Karka event, i’m quite sure you would know where Rata Sum is by now…

Crazy Idea… Considering you were in Lion’s Arch, did you perchance try asking the people around you for directions?

Not everyone is an old hat veteran, but the vast majority of players know the names of all the main cities off the top of their heads, and the vast majority of those know where the LA gate hub that connects them is.
