Why does Arena Net always remove these amazing events? Wouldn’t it make sense to keep them in the game forever since they already spent the time to make them? Perhaps the acquisition of the special skins and items should only be temporary so they retain their rarity and value, but the actual events themselves seem like something that should become permanent so newer players can experience them or people that really enjoy them can experience them again whenever they want.
At the very least Arena Net could sell these events/mini-games for gems (real money) after the free event has ended.
I agree. One of the dev posts awhile back said they were working on a fotm-like JP and it’s sad this is only temporary because it would make a great minigame.
Also, some people are still dedicating every minute of their time TRYING to beat the stupid chest rng and get fusion weapons. We have no time for Super Adventure Box if we’re stuck in the Chest RNG Box!
This should be a permanent mini-game. I’m all for holiday events, but ANet need to stop with the temporary content. New content needs to be added to the game, not cycled in and out. I’m sure they think it adds value to the content, but really it only makes it feel that content have less of an impact.
By the end of the year we will look back and over half the content (and as it happens the more enjoyable content) would only have been temporary additions to the game. Seriously though, SAB by all right deserves to stay as a mini game.

I understand it’s an event and those aren’t meant to stay, but I beg you, make an exception this time around. This is too good to disappear. Don’t make me cry. :<

I agree. I’m giddy too remembering my childhood playing these type of games. Almost to the point of crying I’m having so much fun. I just love that I can take my fancy graphical characters through this old style world. Just so awesome. Made my day!
Well, for what it’s worth, as someone who played a lot of LotRO a few years back, I found the event spacing and duration (they always seemed to start out as 2 week events but went to 3-4 weeks because of bugs and extensions), plus the ‘month off’ in between events made them much more fun and a nice break. Something to look forward to, but never around so long you got really tired of them.
Congratulations to Anet for this amazing mini game/dungeon!!!! Too bad it’s temporarly, I don’t know if I can finish the 3 worlds in time, but still, an amazing idea, with amazing effort and results!

Ok ok so I hate to ask because it has probably already been answered somewhere… But I saw this: “Moto will be demoing his Super Adventure Box throughout the month of April, to gather important data and metrics, as well as to identify any potentially lethal bugs that may or may not be present in his holoware.”
Demoing? Testing bugs? Does this mean April is a test run, and that the SAB will be permanent later in time? Or is this an April Fool’s/April only event that I should be rushing to complete in time?
Not really likely to happen, because as fun as it is, if it was a permanent thing then it would lose the appeal, compared to a time-limited (but possibly recurring) event.

There is no reason this content should be temporary as it is not xmas or halloween holiday based. Asurans make things, the game is fun and different.
The chests might need to go at the end of april but other than that the game is within its own mythos and can be kept.
This game needs more content to compete with other games. Simple.

NCSoft, making it otherwise goes against the game objective as stated months ago.

Make it permanent please. This is something JP lovers can finally have to satisfy them and it will settle complaints about no minigames. (Though the fact it requires a group can be a li problematic in the future.)
This brings to mind an idea…ANet, have you ever thought about putting in a “holiday scrapbook” in the game, one made by an Asuran that makes it so players can relive some of the events from the holidays? It makes it so the players can still play some of the stuff like the Jumping Puzzles, special dungeons, and minigames after they’re gone, but you don’t have to change the atmosphere at all of your current place. Sort of a ‘holiday flashback hub’ for the players.

Please keep this, just do two things when you do. First, remove the chests that drop in the “real” world. Second, move it to a slightly less used area of Rata Sum.
I find the SPB interesting. I want to enjoy it, but I’m not always going to have the time or be in the mood for something like this. Having it last only a month makes me have to decide between giving up on it in general, or playing it when I shouldn’t.
Leave it in, please. Let those that want to rush through it, rush. Let those of us that prefer to take our time with things take our time.
