my english is not good but ill try to explain.. i hope anet fix this.. i recently invited my girlfriend wich never played an online game before. and she finally got her staff skin , which she used in a low lvl staff ,since she was just starting the game and yesterday she was really sad because she accidentally sold it to npc…

This happened because when you put the skin in to the new weapon, this weapon is shown as a normal green one in the selling list for npc…. and is very hard to notice that its the transmuted one or the one with the skin.. it would be very nice specially for newbies or starters to show the skin icon when you are selling to the npc… i would really appreciate.. thanks

Weird… it should show the icon when you’re selling. You could also buyback if you notice fast enough. My condolences since I’ve also sold unique skins before by accident by mass-selling stuff.

I know this isn’t directly the same but perhaps https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Aura-around-different-rarity-icons/first#post1612212 this idea could be implemented to also include special items like this.

I’d really like a more clear indicator that something is rare or skinned. But I did notice usually the name stays the same on skinned items.

This is also true for many item appearances, such as cultural armor. I’ve nearly sold my cultural armor and exotic weapons more than once…

Often have the wrong icon.

It’s a shame she didn’t know about the buy back function. But yeah, I’ve almost sold my GS skin a couple of times because it looks like the pearl greatsword, good thing it still comes up exotic though.

Also, invisible bags help a lot with this, if you’re prone to this issue.
