Suggestion: Drop Continue Coin at Start

I’m not sure what to say to this. the idea of SAB is to be challenging. you should have looked at the 2 lives as a challenge to get what you wanted done.
I did a full run of world 1 no continues, no pots, no deaths cause I thought it was an achievement. nope I read that wrong but I felt so good that I was able to do it.
or you could buy lives at the shops. that’s what i do.

I was going for completing the zone (which I have done before) getting all secret rooms and all baubles in one go. That was enough challenge for me. Or rather, it was time consuming enough that I didn’t want to risk running out of lives and/or continue coins and having to start over from scratch if I found a point where I kept dying.
But it just seems silly that a mechanic intended to be helpful (and which is helpful if you’re in a group and get disconnected) feels like it’s causing an extra complication if you happen to finish everything you wanted to do one day with less than 5 lives.
If this suggestion was implemented you’d still have the option of carrying on where you left off if you wanted to. You’d just also have the option of starting a “fresh” run with the default 5 lives as well.

if you finish the world (kill frog) with 0 lives you will start with 5 lives next run.
I agree. If you leave and the world resets, you should start with 5 lives the next time you enter.
I think originally they were probably going to require players to have a continue coin(whether purchased, or earned from JPs) in order to play, but for some reason scrapped the idea(too annoying?).
I think the way it is now is a bit silly. If a system encourages players to kill themselves, it’s broken, IMO.
So this has happened to me innumerable time, though it’s never been a problem, it just occured to me, if you “swap” weapons do you drop the coin? If you drop the coin can you collect a proper start coin from the dispenser, and does it reset your lives to 5?

Then why complain about not having enough lives to complete the dungeon when the supply is limitless and free.

That’s wasn’t really the “complaint” though, was it?
It was that 5 lives are free if you enter SAB with 0… So why make lives carry over between sessions at all? Or maybe that’s just how I interpreted it.
If I do zone1-3, I’ll kill myself in the swamp until I get to 0 lives left.
I thought it’s wierd you got one for free initially. To trick ppl, instead of the vending machine (free), put a Shady Merchant (5g) for a coin. It makes the ppl that earned thier coins from jp chest, or farming chest in real world to get 25 babbles to get a continue coin better. Continue coins are pretty worthless now, i never die 5 times running it. The 1st day it came out tons would of blown 5g to play immediately, only to find out later it was easy to get a coin and wouldn’t of waisted gold. ha ha suckerz!
You do NOT get booted out of the instance if you lose all your lives (even when you solo).
If you lose all your lives, you get sent to an area where you can choose to use a continue coin to continue with 5 more lives. If you do not have any continue coins in your inventory, a shady merchant does appear and will sell you a continue coin for 50 baubles instead of the outside price of 25 baubles with Moto. If by chance you cannot afford the continue coin, then you are out of luck and only option is to leave instance.

The 25 bauble price was removed a while back. It was only in for the first few days. Now, you can only buy 5 continue coins for 1 bauble bubble from Moto.
