Whip Nerf!
You have to admit that the whip being able to snag baubles from inside locked chests was an unintended bug. :P I’m more sad about the upcoming change that will make Queen Bee Dogs immune to the whip.
Well now that the whip has been fixed, there was also another bug that only a few people knew about, which is also fixed.
Final Chest at the first boss cage, if you used the whip and died at the same time, you could get infinite amount of [Bauble Bubbles].
So… now that secret is out, I am kinda glad its fixed.

I only found out about the whip/chest bug yesterday and of course during my playtime last night I found all the keys I needed with no problem…figures.

Whip is OP against Queen Bee Dog, since it is supposed to be a mini boss.
I’m not really all that impressed with the whip, actually. It’s good for hitting gators and turtles from a distance so you can jump on them, but other than that I find it’s more trouble than it’s worth if you’re trying to kill monkeys or something.
I think you should be able to whip the lights on the wall in the shops to get guaranteed meat or something — could be a nice nod to Castlevania!

You need perfect timing to use it against her though. Two hits with the stick, whip, then another two hits with the stick. If you’re just a BIT slow with the whip, she will get you. I actually find her more tricky than King Toad or the cage bosses.
I agree that she becomes a total pushover in a group where one person just spams the whip non-stop against her though. Maybe if you go in with more than one person, the Queen gets the Unshakable boon?

Without a Whip, Bee Queen simply becomes obsolete – since risk of fighting her is not worth the reward.

Take the right weapon to a fight. If you solo Queen Bee Dogs, whipping takes forever (whip once, hit once or twice, rinse repeat). Queen Bees are really easy to solo if you bring a slingshot and a stash of baubles (for ammo) though. Stay at range, slingshot on auto-attack, step aside when Queen spews bees. This takes her down in like 15 seconds.
