super adventure mmo

Aaaw! I wish that was on video!
LOL, the gateway drug to GW2. You should distribute it free, as an app. :-)
i am pretty much screwed when it goes away, now my 2 year old yells RAINBOW RAINBOW when i get near the computer. played it with him in my lap just now and lets just say you kinda have to play on baby mode with a squirmy kid in your lap.
can we at least have it on console?
this is the second time my 4 years old nephew hijacked my laptop to play the event content, the previous being Wintersday bell choir xD
Similar experience here. The kids gathered around the computer to watch me play in the Super Adventure Box and really got into it. When I felt like leaving to go play the normal game they were disappointed. I think the Super Adventure Box was a great addition – kudos to the development team. Also I wanted to pass along thanks for making it solo-friendly.
The exact same experience with my 5 year old son. This is one of those things that needs to stick around and expanded upon.
Honestly I would love to see ANET make a standalone game besides GW2. It doesn’t need to be an MMO (and I believe grouping takes away from the experience) but this super adventure box is so brilliant, I believe ANET could take the idea and run.
You guys keeping hitting it outta the park. The content you guys keep releasing is top notch.

Hey I made a post about this before I seen this post, please feel free to add ideas to the app idea.

Well Anet could deffinatly reach out to a differnt audience with such a stand alone but for that to even be a possibility the audience must be large enough. That and having a seperate game to work on and matain probly wouldnt be helpful to this game, they should just expand on the content of it in this game as much as they can. Well unless they have some people that get some extra time on their hands, but I feel they could get more done by working on it in this game.
Most of my friends quit back in october, and tbh i pretty much was not caring much for the game either. Then you release this, i show the commercial to over half a dozen friends and they’re all on playing, even a few who never played who saw the commercial we linked on facebook became interested.
All i can say is, gj. I hope theres more like this, definitly regained a lot of interest and respect in my circle of friends.
EDIT: oh, and ya several us agreed we’d have bought super adventure box if it was a stand alone game.
I’d love to play the 2d platformer with rytlock.
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
In the meantime, just leave it even after april! :P
So, we’ve established two basic facts now regarding the Super Adventure Box.
1. If they remove it, people will die.
2. They need to expand on it… for the children. (Not that we adults would continue to play it… nooooo, not that… for the children.)

Yayyyy for being a child!
For the children!!! (BTW, simmilar experience with my 2 year old)..
Also brought me happy memories of playing Day of the Tentacle back then, checking a computer in the game that’s running the original Maniac Mansion, and when using it, you could actually play the whole Maniac Mansion game on it..
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.

Thanks for the flashback, those games were really fun… and they weren’t exactly the latest thing when I first played them, but still great entertaiment.
Please consider making this an additional stand alone mmo as well as a seasonal gw2 feature. When my children saw me playing in the super adventure world last night, they swarmed my computer. My littlest (2) cried when I logged out. We then had to go to the park and hop around while the oldest (9) hummed the themesong and they chased each other pretending to be spiders and monkies.
I promise you your commercial audience is there. These are kids that ignore “vanilla” gw2 but 1 hr of super adventure and they are hooked. You must make a new mmo. Arenanet!
Lol that sounds like my kid.
Egads, yes please. SAB stand alone. Then everyone that loves jumping can have their jumping things they love, and mmo players can have a guild wars.
Anet obviously loves making jumping puzzles, why not make a straight up platformer and release it? I’ve been pretty harsh on the jumping, but I really do think it would be better to have these things separate.
Maybe you could even have it linked to gw so you could still get the in game skins and achievements, the way the HOM linked to gw2.

Maniac Mansion rules.
I’m loving this, my friends are loving this, i have a need to go play my old emulator games now Anet thanks!
Shining Force, Zelda, Chronotrigger ….. meh i need more Adventure box levels lol
