AR is awesome for colorblind players!
You can’t see the lines on the ground?
I guess that means that the circles now having a “wavy” animation didn’t help you guys.
That sucks. The only thing I can suggest you to do is to get a thief to perma stealth you when they start firing the cannons. I can’t see any other way for you to finish this dungeon alive.
That’s really bad, I was hoping that Anet would have solved this issue right now. I am not colourblind and I find the circles unnecessarily hard to see, too.

I’m red-green color blind and I have no trouble seeing the circles. Distinguishing friendly from foe is my problem.

This must be awful. If Anet would let us customize the colour settings, I believe it would help you, wouldn’t it?
Meanwhile, you can go to game options and uncheck the boxes that say “Show All NPC Names” and “Show All Player Name” and check the “Show All Enemy Names” box. That way, you will only see the name of foes, even in WvW; the names of the people of your server won’t show up unless they are directly in front of you or if you hover your cursor over them, but the ones of people of the enemy servers will. Oh, you can still hold ctrl to see the mobs and/or items with yellow/white names and alt for the friendly npcs.
I know it is not a solution in any way, and I really hope that Anet will come up with a real solution soon, but I’m trying to help

Nonono, I can tell allies from foes because they’re blue/red (thankfully). AoE circles are white and… well, pale pink, so it’s REALLY hard for me to tell them apart.
Ohh I see. Sorry, I misunderstood x_x
I hope they solve that problem soon. There was a really long thread in the suggestions board about that issue.

if it makes you feel better, it’s not particularly easy for the non-colorblind people to see what the hell is going on at those last waves either :P
but yeah, ANet should either expand the API tools to let people mess with HUD settings, or make a colorblind mode themselves.
The last boss on this dungeon is so incredibly hard for me to do. It is impossible, literally impossible, for me to see the circles when they shoot the cannons. I know I can see where they shot after it hits because of the animation on the ground, but it’s before it hits which is the problem. I know people will say, “Oh if they shoot near you they will shoot on top of you next,” well to say, that is false. They don’t always shoot at you after shooting next to you.
Usually at this part I try to move around and dodge these attacks which are literally impossible for me to dodge and I die, every…. time! It’s annoying the hell out of me because I never survive these parts at all and I have tried watching the shots, it doesn’t work that well. My friends say that it’s hard for them to see, but it’s not impossible for them to see.
This is just ridiculous that this game, after so long, is still not helping the colorblind community. A skill based game should help with those who are colorblind and not just ignore the colorblind players.
dude, I’m not even colorblind and I still get hit every time.
my advice, find a group that’s gonna run in circles, together, stacked, that was you can just follow them
if people run around like headless chickes u get hit by fire meant for them and vice versa
teamwork dude, find a team that’s gonna stack and run around together, i’veh ad a few of those the community will help even if arena doesn’t

It’s horrible because this is a skill based game. I know this dungeon is hard for anyone else, but it can make it much harder if you are colorblind. It’s not just this dungeon that is difficult for me, but something I thought I should bring up, especially since it is not a permanent dungeon. I love the difficulty the dungeon brings, but I hate how it feels like Anet doesn’t care for colorblind players. I mean, it’s a huge kitten move to make a skill based game and not have some sort of colorblind mode in the game.

I love this idea.
I’m not colorblind, and I still find these circles are very difficult to see. There’s simply not enough contrast.

yeah i know what you mean, i was just pointing out that part of the problem isn’t even in being colorblind, but in the color palette they chose, alongside the ridiculous amount of AoE circles, to the point you can’t even tell if you’re inside or outside one.
I’m not colorblind but I have a hard time seeing the circles too. I even posted to complain about it two times. The new circles are very hard to distinguish. They do not need to be blurry. They need to be clear and easily distinguishable.
It’s the lighting in the room. I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to put essentially floodlights in all corners to shine off of the polished floor tiles, but it masks all of the circles because of the brightness.
Either un-polish that floor, or take away some of the lighting.
