I love the new Aetherblade armor skins. The steampunk look is perfect for my Asura Engineer. However, there’s a few issues I noticed that bug me.
Namely, on the Asura, the armor skins hide their ears and toes! It doesn’t look right without those big ears sticking out, and going from three-toed feet to what is apparently one-toed boots just feels wrong. My poor Asura must feel horribly cramped in this armor!
Please, Anet, can this be fixed?
Agree, asura without the ears is a big no-no. Need my ears back. =(
Seems a little lazy to chop off our body parts instead of design around them.
Asuras unit!. Bring out the ears!.
I would actually consider using that medium helmet on my asura engi if I got to keep my beloved ears :c
I solve the ears by just wearing a monocle.
Got me on the boots though.
I can see the boots being justifiable, these aren’t the first sets of boots that hide the asura claws. They’re relatively small and I’m guessing can comfortably face forward.
The ears though… Idk, haha xD Both of my asura have massive ears. That just seems painful!

It might not be uncomfortable but it doesn’t seem practical. Asura need all the help with balance they can get. Especially the ones out running and jumping and in general traipsing about through the wilderness fighting bad guys and monsters.
Agreed, it’s the sole reason why I ain’t buying it for my Asuran Engineer despite it look perfect on him.
Sure I can sometime accept it for hood like the Durmand Piory Light armour on a Asuran (since it look baggy enough for the ears to hide in seeing how ear got no bones and can bend) but to be competely stuck within the helm?
I also hate it with the Charr too when their horns just vanish when wearing certain helm as oppse to adjust the helm to be made around their horns.
If you notice many of the boots that show the other 2 toes are actually the toe sticking out of the boot (not all boots, but many do this I’ve noticed). Would be nice for them to fix all the skin issues (with charr too), but that might be a bit much to ask….it will come…eventually…5 years from now…
Edit: On a side note, please stop cutting off my characters hair or facial hair with certain helmets
The heavy armor skin does take in to account Asura toes. They even have little extra bits of metal over the side toes.
It is the light and medium armor skins that lop off the toes. Considering the heavy skin has a model for Asura toes, I wonder if the light and medium skins do too and there is just a bug with displaying it?
If it is a bug, I hope they fix it soon.
For me, the clipping happens on the cheeks.
