Does anyone know with 100% certainty if the diving goggles in the new aetherblade jump puzzle count towards the diving achievement?

After about 6 times, I finally jumped from platform, didnt hit anything, and made it to the water, but my counter didn’t go up. Trying to figure out if it just glitched for me, or whether it really doesn’t count.

Yes, I maxed out the Diving achievement (again anet…please stop raising the bar on something we maxed out and give us another achivement for it…) at 38/38 after jumping off with the goggles.

Yes. and was still in my swimsuit when i hit the water.

Its a little glitchy or something. Sometimes your diving goggles come off when you phase through the wall. And I’ve also had them come off halfway down (not dying). Still haven’t completed it though since that was the only time I didn’t die…haven’t bothered to make my way back up again. So wouldn’t surprise me if something caused the achievement not to trigger.

But yeah it definitely is supposed to count towards the Diving achievement. I maxed it out a while back too, and now its missing the one.

edit: My last attempt at getting that perfect dive I managed to land on the spiky vent bit in the well…thats an achievement in itself. xD

ok. just did it again and got the addition to my achieve. I think it has to do with the fact the first time i put the goggles on and did it, i was on the lower piece of the platform. this time I jumped right from where goggles were.

Same thing here. I’ve succeeded making the jump into the water four times now. Every time, I remain in my swimsuit, and every time it doesn’t increment my dive master count.

Yes, they count toward the achievement. I got mine. It was 37/38. But, now, it’s 38/38.

Interestingly my achievement count raised from 37/37 to 38/38 automatically even before I found the diving goggles.

The trick is to stand on far end of the pipe sticking out of the top platform, you can see the platform with the two pipes sticking out of it, if you turn the camera the right way. Then aim for right between those two pipes.

Finally made it to the top! Putted on goggles, jumped down.. aiming for the water! ALMOST hitted a pipe and… Yeeaa!! MADE IT!! HAHA, ha.. why dont i get an achievement point for the dive?

but but.. after 2 hours finally made it.. and it doesnt count? but? great! Last time i go for useless achievements..

You get a point towards an achievement, only get the achievement if you do all 38 dives.

I didnt get anything when i did it. But when i checked I already had 38/38. Seems it gave me the achieve without telling me and when i just fell into the water by accident while jumping.

Actually, some people have reported already having 38/38 before completing it, when having 37/37 before the jumping puzzle was added.

Count me as one who got 38/38 before making the jump into the water. I did not get any achievement reward though that I’m aware of.

Is there a separate achievement for the goggles? Or is it solely +1 for the world goggle achievement? Thanks.

I’ve also done this jump 5-6 times now… 4 times successfully, but no +1 to Master Diver. I jumped from the middle of the platform, the edge, where the goggles were exactly, and off of the pipe (which made the goggles come off as I phased through the mountain). What do I have to do to get my +1? It’s stressful and disappointing, to say the least.

Similar thing happened to me. First time jumped in water didn’t get achievement. Second time I used one of skills from goggles (spinning in air) and got achievement when I landed to water.
