Guild Wars 2

Personally, I enjoy playing with random people . Sure, I run into the occasional five-signet warriors or what have you, but I feel as a whole, most of GW2 content is doable even with a random group, and I enjoy the feeling when people who don’t know each other come together to accomplish a common goal.

Tonight, though, the atmosphere on mapchat (I’m on TC) has been anything but positive, as people seem to be fairly split between “LOLL2PNOOB” or “WTFFFFANETTHISSUUUUCCCKKKS”. It kind of reminds me of when everyone was trying the old AC for the first time back in August – except, y’know, we have a short little asura instead of Kohler.

I’m simply interested in hearing your experiences with random folks. Do you guys feel, as a whole, that the four random guys you’ve picked up are adequate for the content? Was it easy for you guys to learn how the mechanics worked? Do you think this thing was meant to be pugged?

I haven’t been able to get passed this, yet, personally. I’m always the last to be downed, but the pugs I find rarely seem to learn from their mistakes. There are a few golden few who keep up with me. But even then, it’s hard to win with only 2. Expecially with those golem pulls…then they just give up and leave, and I’m back to square 1.

I haven’t given up, though. I will never give up. I just have to find a group that does the same. :\

I was able to beat it with the first pug group I was with.
Second group didn’t do so hot, and I even had a few experienced with me :\
Stage 3 was just too much…
But there’s always that one kitten… that one person, who for some reason dies at the drop of a hat… who can’t listen… who refuses to listen!!!
THAT BRING THE TEAM DOWN!

I did it with the first team I met with a level 65 from my guild, so I can tell you it is beatable by pugs, but they all have to listen and there are certain points in the dungeon where you all have to stop fighting and start reviving downed allies. I think at the Mai Trin fight we all tried to survive the cannons and after that only 2-3 were alive and we needed like 2-3 minutes to be all up again, but then it worked. Same with the pirate door
