They should make 3 difficulties
1. Story Mode
The difficulty is very easy but you can’t get the achievements
This is for people who just want to experience the story.
2. Easy mode
This mode is the normal version of it and you can get achievements with it and get the normal reward
This is for casuals who wants achievements
3. Hard mode
2x harder then easy mode but you also get 2x the reward
This is for the hardcore people who want to farm the dungeon
What do you guys think of this solution

On a serious note, this is a good idea. Or just leave the dungeon for another month for people to try to get the achievements.

Meh, the whole thing is story mode considering it’s part of the living STORY.

How about story mode and normal mode. Not everything in the game should be a face roll. The dungeon is not that difficult. You hear this all the time but its basically a learn to play.

This boils down to the same complaints that occurred in SAB.

People that weren’t competent enough (and yes, I’m saying they were incompetent, at least… at jumping puzzles) were complaining that it was degrading to play in a mode that still offered the achievements for less than “normal” rewards.

Also, the hard mode would make this game even more elitist than it already is, if they were to implement a hard mode, the rewards should be account-bound, in my opinion. This would stop the people trying to sell the loot from being able to farm it in an easy, elitist way (sure, they can still do Normal mode which may be faster, but they have a lower chance of getting it drop) and the people who just want their own versions of the skin but are competent would be able to get it relatively faster but wouldn’t be able to sell it.

I like the idea a lot.
As many of my in game mates, i think gw2 is a terribly easy game in PvE with no real challenge in dongeons and some not so easy part in high level fractals (let’s say 30+) if you re with a good group or a good and balance team composition.
That’s why when i first entered the aetherblades dongeon i was very happy with those new fights where you are not only hitting a boss with tremendous amounts of hp until he dies, and i hope anet will keep on the work and produce more challenging/harder dongeons.
However, some ppl who do not have the time or the will to raise their skills found it too difficult and are QQing all around, and i hope anet won t get the wrong idea and stop this kind of content.
So this system might just be the answer to please everyone !
