It's okay really.......
And yet others found it remarkably easy, including me, and I am not the sharpest tool in the box.
I guess the only possible answer is for them to make the dungeon with 3 difficulty levels, with ascending rewards, or maybe have it very hard for the first week then an easier mode afterwards?
Dungeon is fine. It’s pretty much a learn to play thing and I don’t mean that in a negative way. For the part in Frizz’s lab you can just use stability to prevent getting pulled by the robots. Every class has access to this. For Mai, just stack on her and have plenty of condition removal. If you try to kite her then the fight will last forever and you’ll risk all the squishy people getting one-shotted by her. For the cannons just have 4 people go to their own separate corner with someone in the middle and STAY there. A lot of people don’t do that and bunch up causing wipes.

Every class except for rangers. Our only non-elite stability skill just gives our PET stability, which isn’t much use in the Frizz fight. We do have an elite that grants stability, but being able to briefly do it once every 4 minutes also isn’t much help in the Frizz fight.

Mesmers have one ability that gives Stability and it’s a Mantra, which means it has a much too long charge time for 4 seconds of on-demand stability (2 seconds on a 2 second cooldown), followed by a 25 second cooldown (AFTER the second use).
Yeah, I’m a necro and I have 1 skill that gives 1 second of stability, idk how that is supposed to help anything. All I know from doing this dungeon is that I was playing with two people who have beaten it (and obviously two others who hadn’t), I played for 6 hours, I used 4 instant repair canisters (on fully damaged/1 broken armor), and I didn’t beat it because people had to leave (including myself). I just think the story should be much simpler than this, the dungeon is a piece of cake except for the cheap trick mechanics in the boss fights. It kitten es me off because I want to be the character that brings the bad guy in, but that will never happen for this storyline, or any other storyline that they do crappy junk like this on.
You’re not meant to beat everything the first time perfectly.
I did it the first day it came out with a random group i join in LA, we died twice at each boss, but we made it through.
GOOD FOR YOU! And I wouldn’t expect to beat it the first time perfectly. I don’t care about the stupid Frizz achievement or anything like that. I JUST WANT TO FINISH THE DUNGEON! I want to capture Mai so that my character can feel like he’s done something important. And then you jerks who ruin the game for casual players can go play it in super ultimate mode where if you place one food in the wrong spot and the game blows up killing everyone and forces you to start over. IT SHOULD NOT BE LIKE THIS FOR TEMPORARY STORY CONTENT PERIOD!
The dungeon can be pretty boring for rangers. We can barely contribute, but it is not because of the dungeon’s mechanics, it is because our pet’s AI is terrible. Frankly, everybody knows that our pets are a handicap, and that’s why I hardly ever take my ranger to dungeons, despite she being my main. If you take a ranger to that dungeon, put a lot of traps on the floor and go to the boxes during the laser fight. Dodge as crazy, stability is not required if you can dodge the golem’s pull. You won’t be as useful to your group as a class that can actually help putting down the enemies, but it is better than being dead. With the final boss, I can’t see the problem, quite frankly, I find it pretty easy.
I finished the dungeon with my necro too and it was awesome. The dungeon’s mechanics are alright when up to half your dps isn’t tied to a stupid npc that can’t possibly stay alive during the laser fight.
What I’m saying is that the dungeon is awesome and that we the rangers will suffer either way.
Oh, and I’m a casual player. Sorry for the rant about the ranger. Things have been pretty grim to us and I know I should get over it, but I simply can’t.

Well you can suggest them to bring back infantile mode to every living story.
that way you can shut your brain off and yet complete the content.
I’ll be honest, I went in the first time, no wipes, got it done. Then again, I was on my Guardian and I was spamming SYG like there was no tomorrow, so I’m sure that didn’t hurt.
I didn’t think the dungeon was terribly difficult, but I run the dungeons in this game all the time. I’m very used to the mechanics, and to be fair yes, I was on a Guardian but the rest of the party wasn’t composed of super-1337 professions or anything. It’s definitely doable, but we’re probably on the more hardcore scale than some. Up until this point I had kind of a “mehL2P” attitude, but with all of the people I’ve talked to that haven’t been able to complete it, my opinion is shifting a bit. They did have the Infantile Mode for SAB, maybe something like that should be kept around. I really don’t know where to stand on this because, like I said I didn’t really think it was that bad, but it makes me sad that this many people have so much difficulty with it. I don’t want the content to be easier, but maybe different modes really is the way to go.

Plague elite will give you 20 seconds of stability.
So…..6hrs attempting something over the course of 2 weeks is considered too much now? Seriously? People really do want things handed to them. I do not share OP’s opinion, devs.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

Well good for you. Sorry I spent the other half of the two weeks finishing up Dragonball, doing all the caches, and farming for aetherblade kills. Sorry I can’t spend 3 full days in game getting the dungeon down pat, guess I’m just not good enough. And obviously only good people can get access to the MAIN STORY of the LIVING STORY. You people are rediculous. If two more living stories are made just to cater to your type, you can kiss my butt goodbye. Guild Wars was made for both casual and hardcore gamers, and apparently Hard Core gamers are the only ones worth catering to anymore.
