I may be the only one who didn’t realise this but I’ve just found out the chest at the end of the puzzle does not just reward the shoulder armor.
That’s all you’ll get the first time you open it, but after that it works like a normal JP chest. You’re not going to get anything amazing out of it of course, but you will get loot that you can sell.
Combined with the 3 (or maybe more?) Aetherblade caches hidden around the place and loot from enemies it’s not a bad haul for a puzzle.
