I know a lot of people were upset about the jumping puzzle in Obsidian Sanctum being included for the caches, due to the fact it’s in WvW. I am really not good at JPs either and can spend hours on one. I was super worried about getting killed over and over as I got further, again contributing to my lack of skill jumping.
BUT, Ferguson’s Crossing and Devona’s Rest (I am on Gate of Madness), people kept popping up and everyone would just run by and do their thing. Opponents would wave to let each other know, ‘Hey, I don’t want to be here either, let’s just get this done’.
It was nice and made the JP much more tolerable. So thanks random people for not killing each other!

Good that you had a nice experience with the enemies crawling these ruins.
I got knocked down a Wall by a Gendara guardian kitten on purpose and got to do the whole thing again.

I forgot the two servers IOJ is fighting at the moment but I had a similar experience with them OP although there was a little fight club thing going on by the wps

Use emote-s. If you see an enemy /wave to him and see if he waves back. It works. Sometimes.

Darkhaven and NSP. Also, if you ever see me running through, I typically add people to my party to make it even more known that I’m friendly! The only thing I’m afraid of is people getting crippled by my Temporal Curtain.

I am from Darkhaven and was in that “little fight club” scene. Was fun for me but I got annoyed when people interrupted our duels. And I also found it very friendly to run it except for when NSP were camping at the arena and I got killed by some ioj because i got pulled down and got attacked.

For all the complaining about this achievement, much of it justifiable, making this JP part of the update really did bring out a lot of community on servers. Lots of rallies in LA for people to get together to take on the other servers in there and get their people to the JP with ports. Some good times where you are running along with other servers praying no one is “that guy” and starts some kitten when you all just want the JP.

So for all the negatives I think that there is a pretty good reason ANet chose to do this.

I posted in the other Obsidian Sanctum/Blackout Cache thread last night, after a pretty grim experience at the hands of Dragonbrand campers. New day, new experience: I decided to take another shot at it today, and despite a Dragonbrand presence at various stages of the puzzle, this time I managed to get the cache (and the jp chest too, as a nice bonus).

There was no communication between me and the DB players I ran across; they went about their business, I went about mine. Or to put it another way, I didn’t try to ruin their attempt at the cache, they didn’t try to ruin mine. That, I think, is all a lot of people complaining about the location of this cache are asking for. I do play WvW (as much as my inconsistent internet connection allows) and in EB or the Borderlands I’ll happily slaughter as many players from the rival servers as I can before one of them kills me, but I went into the jp with the sole objective of reaching the cache and getting out again as quickly and with as little drama as possible. Yes WvWvW is a PVP zone, but save it for EB and the Borderlands, where it really matters.

I’m still of the opinion that placing the cache there was a mistake, and I still hope that everybody yet to reach it – whatever server they represent – manages to do so successfully.

I’m glad some others have had a positive experience too. Though I know it happens, it’s annoying to hear about others camping out or purposefully ganking. Any other time frame, I wouldn’t care, but there are so many players that just do PvE stuff or suck at JPs and are just trying to get the cache. So shame on you mean people.

That ends it for me, bad enough some of caches are bugged and have to find work arounds on the net, but forced wvw, like the 100%map completion is just wrong, add to it more grinding with crap rewards and quite bluntly the new content isn’t worth the effort.

So, does anything good come out of these caches? Unless the new weapon skins are in these, I don’t even care about looking for them.

I haven’t seen anything good from the caches. Just blue items so far. Only reason to get them is for the achievement.
