There is nothing difficult about it if you actually consider what each phase requires. The part with Frizz is a matter of moving, the part with Horrik is a matter of dodging. Please don’t nerf it give people a few days to figure it out if they’re struggling. My friend and I found 3 pugs and they had a horrific time, but because the two of us understood what was going on they started getting better and we pushed our way through it.

I’m okay with the difficulty. It’s actually quite simple as long as your team isn’t made of wood. The only problem I have is Kiel being there. She does absolutely nothing the entire time and simply stalls your group at the end, potentially. She’s like a dumbed down version of Trahearne. It’s pretty bad.

Why even make this thread, What would they nerf? This is just as easy an any other dungeon they just added stuff in to slow it way down. Its incredibly boring, not difficult.

I have not read other threads but I seriously hope that people are not complaining that this is to hard already, I grabbed 4 random pugs and rolled threw this with ease about 20 minutes ago.

It is seriously a luck fest because there will be times I don’t get a single cannon shot at me, not one. like I can just stand there for 20 seconds and be 400 yards away from danger. should remove artificial difficulty and just make a kitten pattern

It’s going to be annoying if he fires a static field at you and since you’re 400 yards away from danger you can’t help the fight with it. :P

Maybe some of the numbers need a little tweaking, our ele and me as a mesmer hardly survive an attack of Mai at all and ressing isn’t that forgiving at the last boss. But that’s it. I like that it’s hard, it’s just not fun when you’re out of dodge and Mai jumps at you and oneshots you, especially while trying to actually follow the mechanics and pull her over the lightning field or even more, keeping her in it.

It’s just the pull with the golems. Some professions (like rangers) have almost no stability. They have stunbreaks, sure, but when the golems pull you into lazers, stunbreaks won’t save you. Nothing will. Sometimes, it just pure luck. But, the pulling is my only gripe. I agree that everything else can be beaten simply with understanding.

the pulling is a mechanic it has nothing to do with luck. Don’t want to be pulled then don’t mess up. No stability required, just coordination.

Umm, I can not mess up and still be pulled. I liked the whole dungeon other than that bit. I will try it again and see if that parts easier now that I know how to do it. The Frizz fight was probably my favourite though.

I don’t think there a way to really avoid the grab other then predicting it course that’s easier said then done when your more focused on avoiding beams.
Fight is amazing to say the least. its not some crazy boss that is impossible to do. I love how this fight is more about mechanics and environment.

Keep the difficulty, just speed it up. Reduce the amount of damage a golem can take and make the beams insta-kill. The amount of time it takes to win (or lose) the fight if somebody messes up is almost unbearable. Just make it quick and clean. You mess up, you start over. You get it right, it’s over in no time.

My only issue with the dungeon is how long the cannon phases are during the boss fight, it’s not all that hard just tedious.

Mostly liked the dungeon. Last boss should be shortened (shorter cannon sequence perhaps, maybe less health for Mai) and maybe something with the pulls – shorten the range, give more of an emote to make it more dodgeable, something like that. Or keep as is but shorten the shield uptime on the golems. I got a charged core from salvaging the aetherized scrap I found though, which was pretty cool.

I like the dungeon. First boss is very good. Trash is good. Difficulty everything is pretty fine. Last boss is way too long though, less phases or something.

Overall, absolutely abysmal with clueless people that probably haven’t done any dungeons before and don’t listen to explanations. I’ve tried finding a group to finish with since my first time (and good group) had glitch and couldn’t finish first fight and it fell apart. Every group since doesn’t even make it through the first pack of trash without dying. Pretty much I don’t think scaled up people should attempt this, I think it may be very hard unless they are getting carried.

Maybe in the future make a dungeon for low levels and one for level 80s. So then we can maybe just split the difficulties for them. Scaling up is not a cure all.

That’s definitely an issue. People are expecting this to be like some of the past dungeons with scaling. It just doesn’t work like that. It sucks yes, but that’s just how it is. Would be awesome if they made one that was blow level 80, and then one that is level 80.

To be fair though there aren’t that many people leveling anymore. Seems most everyone around now has been for a bit, and the influx of new people seems to have ended a few months ago.

I liked it. And the lasers are relatively easy considering you can stand on boxes or keep moving. The final boss takes forever but that’s good. It challenges you to accomplish something.

Back in the day it would have been miserable with not being able to bring in a party member if someone leaves, but now it’s fine and working as dungeons should be… i.e. long play content for people who really like to game and not just be handed everything.

First boss isn’t very ranger friendly — as far as pets/lazers go. That’s half of our dps made useless. I wish pets (maybe necro minions & guardian spirits & mesmer illusions & engineer turrets) didn’t take damage from the lazers. Also, those pulls suck charr.
