So while exploring the new content in Southsun Cove before the most recent patch, I found a tourist NPC with an animal hat and a new bathing suit design.

After the most recent patch though, the NPC was removed and replaced with an
asura.

On this reddit thread that contained data mined gem store info, guess this may be one of the animal hats they mentioned.

Although I thought anet took panda stuff out of the game bc pandas are an endangered species and wanting to be sensitive to asian cultures. Maybe that’s why the NPC was removed? Although it looks like a gem store item had been drafted out as well.

And what’s that about dragon fireworks??? I’d think those would be exclusive for the Dragon Festival, which is a Cantha tradition….

If you heard certain NPCs, they are already talking about the Dragon Festival. It will celebrated in June in Lion’s Arc. According to Lord Faren the Captain Council is divided becase some don’t want to celebrate a Dragon Festival when there are Elder Dragons threatening the world.
