40 plus times I have tried and it bugs on top of being a fight that should never be in an MMO, this is a 3rd person action game design Someone at Anet needs to stop with this and make MMO content or I can go play god of war for this Anyone know any good tips that will actually work And not some neck-beard showing us on YouTube how cool he is doing it fast? :P
stay at the entrance to his lair right at the distance of his agro. Let him run at you and put your back to a wall so he can’t knock you into a mine.
Use the bomb mine that is at the entrance over and over and just heal when you need to.
If you want to get fancy you can use multiple mines but when you run into the middle of the room you risk him detonating them all when you are in a bad spot, or rearming them.
So find an empty spot. stay there and work a bomb mine that you can control reliably.
For the hell of it I got a level 5 engineer and took it over to canach. Did perfectly fine.
It is not a fight of skill or stats, but more of a fight of strategy. Stay away from dangerous stuff, dont put yourself in a position to be knocked into dangerous stuff. stand there and take it in the face till a bomb is ready for you to run canach over with.
you can do solo again and again till you get light foot, or in a group. I feel solo is easier since you have more control of the fight. Up to you though.
To quote JAWS 2 “You better do something about this one, because I don’t intend to go through that hell again!” No Thanks Ill go in group to hope to get it done quicker.
Uh-oh, do pets count if they cause the mines to go off?
THX guys. Oh, don’t pets count, like they set off mines? And why cant we permanently stow pets? Sick of that.
Pets count, stow them until you get to his room then sick them on him once he gets close to you. While they’re attacking him they won’t be setting off mines because he shouldn’t be passing through any mines that aren’t green.
It may still take a couple runs, but it’s not hard. It only takes three or four explosions to finish him.
Anyone know any good tips that will actually work?
1. Set up any class of your preference with some knockback skills.
2. Stand with your back against a wall at the entrance.
3. Disarm the explosive mine (it’s slightly to the left when you enter the cave).
4. Kick/stomp/other knockback effect Canach into the disarmed mine.
5. Repeat 4 times and you’re 1gold 25 silver the richer, as well as an achievement.
