Cant complete the jumping puzzle in Southsun
if its the steam jumping puzzle, its not you its generally an evil jumping puzzle.
you’ve got 2 options:
1- if you wan to do it lagit save save your pride and honor , learn the timings of each jump and work on the run and hittin jump while you change the angles.
2 – if you really just want the achievemnt , do a shout out for a mesmer to port over the first part.

Not everyone can master every aspect of the game. If you can’t complete the JP on your own, some Mesmers are charging 50~ silver for end portals. Just ask in Map Chat to see if anyone is offering.
It is a punishing puzzle with very definite timing constraints. I can do it with no problem on my home PC which has a good processor and no latency, but I have almost no chance on my work laptop which has barely adequate graphics capability and a much more constrained bandwidth. I equate it to the holiday event jumping puzzles where you have to be perfect and consistently moving forward or you’ll run out of time and have to start over.

I am horrible at JP. I’ve completed a handful of them only. I think the only ones I’ve done 100% myself were the 3 in LA and Morgan’s Leap and Vizier’s Tower. I find that I’m a good player, just don’t have the chops for those timed puzzles like the beginning steam portion of the SSC or the Mad King Clocktower.

Sad that people are flat out charging people for it. After spending some time and nailing the JP on my own (it’s really not that bad) I parked my mes up there. Never charged for porting but if asked I’ve always said tips are welcome. I’d say maybe 30% of the people I’ve ported gave me a tip and that’s equaled out to about 10g now. Really, for me at least, I just like being helpful and if I get more than a thanks that’s swell but I won’t sweat it if not. Kind of irritates me that some so willingly charge for a quick buck

Your not on your own…loads of players can’t do this JP, its classed as ‘hard’ with regard to JP’s…
I can’t do it, you just after accept you can’t do it and forget about it. Other than achievements points you don’t get anything special, so it really doesn’t matter…
I got a Mesmer to portal me btw…just for the achievement points…a lot will do it for free/being helpful…
I can do all the easy/medium difficulty JP’s in the game and I don’t mind one little bit that hard JP’s are in the game that I can’t do…
It’s most likely the hardest currently accessible jumping puzzle in the ga,e, so your problems are completely understandable. The jumps on their own are not that hard, but the time pressure and the fact that any failure means starting from the very beginning can turn completing it into a many-hour experience.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
This puzzle frustrated me to no end at the beginning, but now… it’s not so bad. There are some days I can do it in my sleep, others where I keep failing the simplest jumps. I believe observation and dogged determination can carry anyone through a jump puzzle. If you can dodge an attack, you can do any jumping puzzle imo.

I can do every other puzzle in the game barring Steam Vents and the holiday ones. For me I think it’s age, slow reactions, and lack of skill conspiring to put most timed puzzles out of my reach. I don’t feel bad about it, since it’s just one part of one facet of the game.
There was every option to make the end of the puzzle portal-proof but the designers chose not to do that, that should tell you something.

I’m not exactly young, have Telstra ADSL2+ from Adelaide & I managed to do it eventually.
It did take a rather concentrated effort to do so. I could not tell you how many times I failed, but I did it & have done it again since.
For me, I found my characters with passive speed boosts did it easier than ones without.
My Engineer was Captain Fail every single time.
Once you have done the initial platform section that leads to the outer side, you can get away with jumping from pillar/spout to pillar/spout & ignore the floating platforms. Get past that & the rest isn’t too difficult.
