Just popped into mind when reading the new ‘welcome to paradise’ article. She seems to have a subtly hidden agenda and her very own white and gold armor…White mantle? A stretch perhaps.

Thought it might be fun to throw open for discussion

If you click on her, her portrait is that of a champion level mob, while Lord Faren is only a veteran, so maybe?

I feel like she was only nervous because of Faren.

Hmm I definitely got the vibe that she was up to something. I mean she is just some random DR citizen having a secret meeting on Southsun?

Hmmm that’s a point Jabberwock. I assumed that she didn’t know Faren was on the ship either but you may be right. Just a few things struck me about her. Firstly the comment from Jemmi about her motives is very true…shady. Also, why is she a DR noble with a strong grip who Kiel believes is no stranger to hard work. However Kasmeer says:

“I’m trying to avoid old friends on this trip”

which paints her as some kind of victim to me. I was scanning the image of her armour for some hidden white mantle-esque designs in the embossing

I’m sure it’s just wishful thinking on my part, would love to see the mantle back properly.

Well i’ve been pretty positive since november that the Consortium are Mursaat worshippers, and the description of Kasmeer feels very much like that of a White Mantle. In this context:

“I’m trying to avoid old friends on this trip”

…makes alot of sense.

About the Corsortium being Mursaat worshippers I doubt it, only the White Mantle (human organization) is known for being related to them. Aditionally in most bandidt bases there is the White Mantle symbol which would link them as working for the WM which would be working for Lazarus maybe? But I don’t think the Consortium (interracial organizartion) is related to them. They had their own subject of worship, and that’s money.

About Kasmeer… she seems very shaddy, and we know the nemesis is female so there is that possibility… but according to her dialogue she very well be that or she might be running from something she was involved in. Chances are she might end up being part of the “future DE” with Braham and Rox.

Im suspecting we may find ourselves in DR in some future Living Story step which would be awesome. Theres a lot of unresolved plots in Kryta.

Kasmeer says she works for a private investigator. That makes me suspect it could be someone looking into either the events involving the bandits or alternatively the Great Collapse. If its the bandits then avoiding other nobles would be necessary since she would want to avoid word getting to the Ministry. If its related to get Great Collapse then… who knows. The hole was the site of the Canthan District and we do have a Dragon Festival thing comming up.

She could be the nemesis but I hope not. Firstly I think she could be an interesting character and secondly Id feel terribly sorry for poor Faren. Frankly, Faren himself has connections to the Ministry. He worked for them for a while before being kicked out apparently.

I’m thinking than in adition to new armor Kasmeer shares a common trait with Braham and Rox: New face and hairstyle. I think there is definitely a chance for her to be par of the young Destiny’s Edge. That or the nemesis but I think she will have an important part here.
