Q:
Does culling effect supply crates? Or can culling prevent supply crates from ever being seen, before they disappear?

what is curling? besides some weirdo sport you play with mops and brooms
I think he meant “Culling”.
And I don’t know the answer to that.
Yes i meant culling. Lisa is just mad because she hasn’t had a _______ .
Yes she is, LOL

I would say … maybe.
This is based on my Orr expeditions. At the Grenth event or Melandru, 30+ mobs rush at you, plus there are also your fellow adventurers. After I spam AoE all around, I go for a “scavanging round” collecting the loot, then stand back in line to fight again.
I often find bodies that are just ‘dying’ when I get near them (read: due to culling they appear late) containing loot.
So based on this, the awnser would a ‘yes’.
But then again, for the wooden/steel chest the bodies need not be animated, only the chest, so there is no reason why they would be culled out.
So based on this, the awnser would be: ‘no’.
In conclusion:
I have no idea.
I hope this helps
Yes, I think it does. It’s very common while doing Arah’s chain of events: after I kill a huge amount of enemies,I can still hear corpses dropping for a some seconds. I’m pretty sure that you can’t grab its loot until they finally appear.
No, because even when the box doesn’t spawn the “Wooden Chest” text still does.
Hold down your “Show Enemy Names” key to show the text to see if any may be laying around.
I’ve seen what Doggie has stated. Because the supply crates are marked as yellows, the Wooden Chest will still appear. And I have seen it off in culling-zone for myself. (It was putrid essence, …huzzah?)
So while it might stop the others from showing up, the wooden chest does show itself. Also, I’ve seen the wooden chest stay longer than the dead body, too. Hope that helps.

But regular drops don’t trigger a Wooden Chest. Even profitable items like T6 materials (some of them more expensive than yellow items) don’t drop it. So you must wait for the corpse if you want to get your reward

Its based on rarity rating, not item value.
Rare and Exotic items will despawn the corpse and create a chest with the loot inside. Greens and below will just stay on the corpse.
Supply crates are Rare items, so they’ll always spawn a chest.
