They should have done something like this:
30/35 achievements in the Secret Of Southsun Cove category = 1 ticket
35/35 achievements in the Secret Of Southsun Cove catagory = 1 ticket
Those who don’t want to touch crab toss or just suck at it are able to get 1 ticket with out ever touching it by finishing all the achievements (not counting crab toss)
Those who are good at crab toss are able to get a 2nd ticket by getting the last 5.
But then, who would have bought their crates ?
those who need a 2nd or 3rd?
not everyone uses one handed weapons only….

Only received 5 crates over the course of the whole event, no skins. I think I’m just about done with this game since I can’t actually be rewarded for effort.
Finally I recalled the stopgap solution of a great princess who was told that the
peasants had no bread and who responded: “Let them eat brioche.”
I got 2 as well. Got a greatsword and a shortbow skin for my ranger, but truth be told I wish I had made the longbow skin instead….it looks way cooler lol.
where did you get the ticket? I really dont want to buy the crates and the chances of me getting a ticket from them isnt very high
Got 2 tickets only found and opened like 12 crates. The sad thing is the tickets were the one thing in those crates I honestly didn’t care if I got, I wanted the minis more. :/
Very proud of my resolve, as these were the first chests which I did not buy any of from the store.
I did end up with 1 ticket though from a dropped crate, after about 20 or so – farmed quite a lot initially, marine life under the lovely 200% Magic Find buff.
Sadly I recently stopped levelling my necro alt though, and while I was excited to get an elusive ticket the weapons looked absolutely out of place on my warrior & ranger – ended up picking the staff skin (thought that & scepter looked best) to bank just-in-case.
I got 1 ticket on my first crate I bought from the store. Subsequent crates yielded nothing else though.
Yeah I think the skin works best for necros (maybe warriors depending on how you wanted to look) Still trying to decide weather to get the staff or the greatsword.
I just got one several minutes ago. I don’t want any of the skins though, its a shame we can’t trade them in for other stuff like minis or something. I’d be so happy to be able to get Faren and Kasmeer. The thing is account bound too so I don’t even know what to do with it.
I got one yesterday. I had about 10 crates drop from random mobs yesterday, much to my continued surprise, and got a very unexpected ticket. Didn’t necessarily want one, but I got one anyway, not complaining. :-)
Farmed every day for up to 10 hours per since this all started….I would estimate I have opened over 200 the kitten ed things. No ticket and no mini pets.
But this is not suprising, every RNG event I never get the rare items.
Looking forward to not getting anything in Dragon bash as well!
Opened around 10 crates that I got as drops. Didn’t get a ticket, didn’t want one because I find the skins pretty ugly (the eye ruins ’em).
TBH, I’m highly surprised I didn’t get one just because I didn’t want one. That’s usually the way my luck would work, I get nothing when I want it and it just falls into my lap when I don’t.
I finally pulled one from a crate and its about time been there since the start however dose anyone know how long the vender will be there?
The actual vendor on Southsun will probably be there for another 2 weeks or so.
However, even after that, Evon Gnashblade inside of the Black Lion Trading Post HQ in Lion’s Arch will let you turn the tickets in, and he’ll stay permanently. He’s pretty much the “backup” for every single event ticket there’s ever been (and ever will be, probably). You can still turn in Wintersday and Fused weapon tickets to him as well.
Played Southsun every day for a few, didn’t farm and mostly had just the settlers MF bonus …
- first crate dropped on my first day on Southsun, lo and behold: skin token !
- four more crates dropped for me, nothing uselful in them
And for sure, I didn’t even think about buying crates … I left LotRO because of such 0.00000001% RNG, though there it was for the best statted gear in game. Burned out from farming for chances, I came here to have FUN!

I do wish the tickets were able to go up on the TP, because if I ever did get one then at least it could be sold to someone who has no taste, because I’d have to junk it like I did the sclerite backpiece. Every skin in this update (asides the fervid censer) looks like arse, and I’ve seen so many people agree. I don’t get why Anet has to balls-up something, anything to do with Southsun, it’s been their achilles heel since November.
