I hate 1-shots. I hate dying to invis mobs.
This is what i hate about GW2’s downed mechanic. Getting downed or dying in 1 shot is NOT fun. It’s also so ridiculous when doing escort events, or just npcs in general. They go down in one shot too.
Never mind that mobs love to target downed people and those helping them, even more than they love high toughness builds.
There is virtually no way to get a mob off you once you go down, meaning that unless said mob happens to be on his last leg (so you can rally via a kill) you may as well just wait for the defeat.
While playing the event last night, a large (and I mean very large) group of us were killing the karka at the settlement near where the Queen fight occurs. All of a sudden, dozens of karka spawned and we were all killed. Some cuss words were said, and a lot of us just laid there in disbelief. Very frustrating!
I actually really love Southsun (my first time there was last night), but that worried me.
High toughness aggro, lag and culling are the only issue I can agree with.
I actually enjoy fighting large quantities of mobs, there are a lot of tactics, skills and builds that can help you.
High toughness aggro is a terrible mistake in this game and should be removed.
It would be much more interesting to get an aggro system purely based on damage dealt.
