At first, the lag and bad targeting, along with that team-bug, made this mini game pretty much unplayable. But now that the bug is fixed (which caused multiple people to have the carrier icon, even if they didn’t have the crab), and now that I’ve experienced instances without lag…. it’s quite entertaining.

Now don’t get me wrong, the problems with targeting in the game overall, still harm a lot of the fun. But this mini game is pretty entertaining once you get the hang of it, and are fortunate enough not to suffer through lag.

All of the items do something interesting, and the game is quick paced and chaotic. And there’s a reward chest for everyone at the end of the match too.

The rolling karkas are a great addition, especially when you manage to squash a ton of players chasing you.

Most of the achievements are easy to get. The only thing that grinds some people’s gears, is the crabtacular achievement. I got it through dumb luck early on, and later I’ve helped other players organize to get a whole team of players this achievement one at the time. If you stumble on a few helpful players, this achievement is much less frustrating.

So my praise to the designers of this mini game. They did a great job with such a simple mini game, and I like how the npc throws crates into the pit. It all just looks really good.

I think it’s an awesome minigame and agree with what you wrote. I see a lot of people complaining, mostly about:

1. Lag. This is the only real issue, playing at off-peak hours solved it for me.
2. Chaos/knockdowns/pulls etc. This is the fun of the game, people who want that changed don’t understand it.
3. Crabtacular achievement. While I agree it’s not the most well designed achievement, I don’t get why some people seem to think they are entitled to getting all achievements if they put in enough playtime. If you don’t get it, then you move on without it. You don’t get any disadvantage, since the southsun meta achievement is easily doable without crab toss.

So ye, my praise to the designers too, but do check if you could reduce lag a bit for the next living story event :P

I love this fun little activity game to. But I really wonder if they will keep the game after the story finished. I hope they do, cause these games really add to the game especially for new people coming later on.

It seems a great shame to remove something such as this after working so hard on it. But then, I guess the same goes for the dungeon they made for living story. They should have left it in as a new dungeon for those that love dungeons.

It was vary lagy on realese but it’s running fine now. It has a degree of luck but it’s anything but luck based.

BTW I’ve gotten 3 wins in a row. This game is anything but luck based.

Several players left the game two days ago, because I kept winning every match by a lot of points. And I was playing a necromancer, no cheating involved. It really is a game of skill, with only minor elements of randomness. But you are at the mercy of lag. The last few days it has been pretty much lag-free fortunately.

I love the game. I don’t love the people who come in with "let me win for the daily" attitude. Why don’t you just try to win like everyone else? Like seven other people are supposed to just sit there and GIVE it to you?

That guy spent the next match targetting me the whole time for saying "Uh, no." Darn, I only managed 3rd that time around. Was still fun. There’s something about watching the karka roll that’s very entertaining, winning and losing.

I HATE people who expect everything to be given to them with no effort. Nobody is forcing you to get the title/daily and there are plenty of other options avalible for your META achivements.
If you REALLY want that achivement then WORK for it!

By now the game should be over and you should be enjoying your achivement. Remeber you can hold down the dash key to dash further.
