I think Null doesn't work as it should

From what I have just experienced, trying to guide him into the correct mine especially with the random exploding mines and roving energy would be a total nightmare. On the other hand, if that would let us see that shield less often…
Well it would have made my PUG insta RQ instead of failing at 15-20% of HP in my 3 failed attempts.
When I did the instance, NULL only used the shield ability. And to remove that shield you could use any mine (we used caltrop one, cause it was in a nice spot). Well, and also the damage thing near death.
I know how to work now, what I describe happened five minutes before the patch gets loaded.. At the beginning you could choose to do the story mode with your friends (although it shouldn’t be so), and then, in the explorable, mines weren’t visible unless you use 1, and the boss had these additional mechanical.
I’m sorry I can not show you any proof.. I had to do at least one screen!
You are right though. Those phases did exist before the initial patch. Dulfy’s original guide for the fight even stated all those phases, etc.
I will admit it did make more interesting. But it was a mess for my group. xD But after the patch you can literally keep him in the same spot and only kite him to the explodable mines while ignoring the healing turrets and everything. Definitely two ends of the spectrum though, I wonder why they decided to get rid of the other phases.
