It stands to reason that they will be worth a lot after this event correct?

Not really….. We, the players, by farming the heck out of Southsun are creating a very large surplus of them. Though there isn’t that much of a demand after we upgrade the two back items from the event.

Unless, Anet comes up with items that create a need for Karka Shells and Passion Flowers, the abundant supply of them will keep the items affordable.

“Four settlements (Point Pride, Kiel’s Outpost, Steampipe Steading, and Camp Karka) are integral parts of trade on the island. If all four camps are held by the players, a special merchant will appear on Pearl Islet to exchange armor for karka shells”.

I don’t know for Passion Flowers, but Karka Shells could rise a bit, especially after the end of the Southsun event.

Young karkas respawn rate has been nerfed in the bay.
When Consortium boxes don’t drop anymore, I think price is going to raise…

TY for the info! I’m kinda wow’d they do this. What if the zone is dead (like it was) and a single player wants something from the merchant? This sounds like a bad bad bad idea

The temples in Orr seems to be quite possible to beat still. It is basically the same thing.
Another thing to keep in mind is the Karka Queen that will be unlocked only when the four Camps are “owned” and that one will drop a daily chest.
