Edit: Other players are estimating a drop rate of tickets being less then one percent. Don’t bother with the black lion toilet, you will never get a ticket.
No more non cosmetic world event rewards. We haven’t forgotten the Ancient Karka.
Sad, they could also give us a ticket for completing the story at the end, but heh Anet and their Blizzard philosophy (false friends)

That’s 600 gems worth of crates, I’d say the drop rate is pretty good.
does any mob drop them or only say karka?
Don’t know i got one form a reef drake (not young) and heard they drop from karkas. Also looking at what’s in there I’d say don’t buy them with gems.

I went 5 hours last night with 420% and got 0 crates

363% MF and I’ve got 4 crates so far. But only got passion flowers, passion fruits and karka shells from them. All of my crates were from event mobs – crazed karkas, champion instigator, fed-up settler.

Boost = 50%
Banner = 10%
Guild Buff = 10%
omom bars = 30%
Jewelery = 42%
5 runes of traveler = 50%
1 rune of the pirate = 10%
Explorer gear= 18% (I think)
Sigil of luck = 15%
Weapon = 3%
Utility slot = 20% (I think)
total = 458%
I don’t run with all of that so I am usually closer to 400% now.

Was casually farming karka with 3 others on the beach. All got crates except me. One guy got 3 within 30 minutes. t6 mat drops in that same timeframe averaged 3 to 5 except for me. I got 1. I was running about 350 MF. I think DR kicked in since I Ieft my toon in the Cove over night. RNG is a kitten. Anyway I got my backpacks. From now on I’ll farm the beach for an hour a day. Can’t say I was to impressed with the event so far. Anets philosophy blows in my opinion.
The DR should NOT Exist in an event like this, specially when the chest rate for any decent items IN THE CHEST is 0.001%. So like a 0.01% chest drop rate with a 0.001% skin rate, GG!
