So initially when the new Southsun living story started, every time I did an event like the one where you fight the Champion Instigator, after it’s defeat a little chest appeared usually containing two blue or green pieces of equipment and a karka shell. Ever since that weird widespread login problem from the other day though, I no longer get the chest. Is this on purpose or a bug?

i didn’t even know there were chests until I read here that people are missing them. However, just 20 min ago, I did get one of those chests. So they do appear, but maybe not always?

Wander around the site quickly afterwards (or to the place it spawns, if you’ve memorized that). I’d not be even slightly surprised if it didn’t render until you got close to it, like so many things. On the other hand, it’s not the biggest chest ever, do check that people aren’t just obscuring it.

And yeah, if it’s definitely absent I guess submit a bug report.

If you do the same kill the _ instigator event twice (or more) in succession without doing anything else in between, you’ll miss out on the chest. I noticed it once, and then purposely did it a few more times to see if it repeated, which it did.

As long as you do not do identical events (same location and everything), the chest should spawn for you. It still may not render (only happened once to me), so run to where the horde of people are standing after the kill and F-spam to see if you get it :P
