I tested with plenty of gold buffs

the infusion, the omnom and the zone buff

and champs only reward no more than 3s

and mobs drop a few copper

This is waaaaay to small and it seems with these numbers, no one will want to run with the gold buff. At least make both choices reasonable.

I’ve gotten more then 5s from young kakra’s. the amount of money dropped is RNG like all drops.

With the consortium boost and omnom I get anywhere from 3s to 5s per drop (even on trash), which is the best this game has ever seen as far as non-dungeon-boss gold drops are concerned.

I agree with Vol the coin drops are so bad that the buff seems worthless. I don’t know what the other posters who disagree with Vol are talking about. Gold drop rates suck in this game period! I also ran with Magic Find buff with runes and other buffs totaling 297 Magic find. My drops where horrible. Either there was no difference in drops or the only thing extra I got was Junk drops that sell to the merchant. This needs to be fixed. For me to sacrifice useful stats for magic find should mean something. I personally think magic find should be in addition to other stats so I am not weaker or useless to others while attempting to get better drops. Also it shouldn’t be possible for the least effective (weakest) players in the group to get the best drops! Please fix these buffs and make them extra stats not in place of more useful stats, when it comes to armor and weapons of course.

The magic find buff is far and away your best bet. Most mobs won’t drop coin at all and when they do it will be in very small amounts. Most mobs already had a decent chance at dropping tier six crafting mats, some of which will sell for 30+ silver, with +200% magic find you can make a decent profit with them. Even without rares or exotics, the crafting mats make the MF buff far more profitable than the gold find buff (unless all you are doing is chain farming the champion events, in which case you probably want the gold find buff).
