Mechanics, ugh. Make it about the story. Who cares if it’s brand new. It’s a scavenger hunt. but it’s not about findind easter eggs on the backyard, it’s about facing danger while gathering these samples for research.

Remove “player” and say “hero” or something. Or don’t specify. This story isn’t about the player doing stuff, it’s about the character doing stuff. It just happens my character needs a player to control it, just like a book’s character needs a reader to take it through the story.

I laughed abit when I’m reading these.
All I can say is, you choose what to do, and if you don’t want to do, don’t do it.
Go figure and explore about those before you ask why because you’ll eventually figure out the answer yourself.
