I got the sclerite backpiece the day it dropped and when i saw it i expected that at some point we’d run into black-shelled, tentacled mutant “sclerite” karka. So far, the only place i’ve seen the same tentacles is in the karka hive with no sign of any lovecraft-touched karka in sight.

Do you think maybe all the angry karka were supposed to get a graphic overhaul and at some point but the skin got scrapped as the content was rushed out?

The karka you’re expecting is likely the Karka Queen, which iirc, doesn’t show until June 5th?

Anyways, sclerite is more or less a kind of shell for aquatic invertebrate.

i was kinda wondering if the crazed karka queen was going to look like the old lost shores one or be a mutant remake.

It’s pretty clear to me what the Karka Queen is and why the tentacles are important.

If with Fervid you mean Mordremoth, current theory (not confirmed and like most things related to him just speculation, but best candidate given current proof if the term even currently exist) seems to be Blighted, from the creatures in the Whychmire Swamp meta event :P

Guess not.

I’m sticking by my original theory that there was supposed to be a karka makeover with black/eyeballs/tentacles and they just couldn’t get it together by the deadline.

That would have been ideal, if only cosmetic. But sometimes those trivial things really make the difference.
