I have a few reef riders and I’m wondering if I should sell now or hold onto them?

It is a reasonable expectation that items available for limited periods of time will have their prices increase once they are not readily available. The longer you hold on to them, odds are the higher their value becomes.

It will probably take multiple years for these to be worth a lot… why? a good 1000+ being traded, even tho they are cheap and only 4 rich people could all buy a stack of 250, that means you have 4 of them with 250 undercutting eachother causing the price to crash.

These won’t be worth a lot for A LONG TIME as legitimate buyers are needed to force demand

I doubt it will worth much more anytime soon, its too common and in the long term it has to stay popular too to make ppl want to buy them.

ya I was thinking that too, I will invest in mini southsun farens then? :P Risky though I’m not sure if it will raise.

Will the price ever increase? Absolutely, but soo many people have already played this investment and there are so many in circulation/being stored that it’s safe to say the price will not rise by much anytime soon. If anything this would be a long term investment, veeeery long term lol

Yes the certainly will go up in price over time. Look at candy corn — it has doubled since halloween.

Ya I think I would rather invest in Faren then kasmeer though because It’s much easier for Faren to reach 8-10g to double investment then kasmeer hitting 40/50g to double investment :P

I think they’ll probably go up eventually. It’ll probably take quite a while considering the sheer number of them that have been dropping and the fact that people are farming en masse (consider SAB skins which were rarer and yet are still going for a lower price than they were during the event even), but the fact that they’re time-limited is a pretty good chance they’ll go up eventually. It’ll definately be a long-term thing though, dont’ expect a 5x increase the second the event ends or anything.

I doubt it’ll ever reach the prices of some of the other exotic minis, though. I’d expect it to stay under 10g for pretty much the long haul, unless some heavy manipulation takes place.

It will take a long long time for them to rise in value since there are so many. Only very limited quantity discontinued items rise quickly. Just sell them now and invest in something else.

it is not likley they will go up very much even in a few years, i speak from experience with the “limited edition minis” from gw1, they will just release a slightly different version of it next year crashing both the old and new minis into obscurity

So far I had 6 of the minis drop for me I sold two at current rock bottom prices plan to keep one and use the others for guild events and if i happen to get another one hang on to it to see if the price does rise

Unless they are going to be released again with some other update(I doubt it will happen) there is no reason they will gow down in price after June 11th.

Why would you want the price of it to go up? Means more people can have them. That’s a good thing.
