ANET Please do not use RNG for achievements
- Every map will be invaded at least once per day, probably twice. In some cases, three times.
- Builds do not affect the rotation.
- The rotation is the same across all servers.
- If you play at the same time every day, you will see all 13 maps by the end of the Clockwork Chaos release.
- If you play at the same time every day, you will see all 13 maps by the end of the Clockwork Chaos release.

How can they say that when it’s random probability is probability and not a guarantee…also who has dedicated playtimes everyday this isn’t a job although it feels like it sometimes. That assumption is again relying on you being able to be chained to your comp almost every day for prob 4+ hours each and every day and even then it’s still RNG.
Did you miss the part where I said 30+ hours by that account I should have seen the map I needed at least 3 times almost…RNG is a B^%@ and that’s why in certain things it should be stopped. Nah this isnt a grind at all

I’m not so sure it’s complete RNG, I took a few coding classes in college and you can set limits on “randomness”, it sounds to me like they wrote a code that looks at the entire release and makes sure that the 13 maps come up at the same time every day during the two weeks it’s out, whatever’s left is random. Just thinking about the code gives me a headache, I hope Anet has some super talented code writers. These are just my thoughts though after reading what Anthony wrote.
As for it feeling like a job, I agree. I had set an alarm on my phone trying to nail down my last two maps I was missing. So that every hour on the hour (when I was at home) I’d stop what I was doing and run upstairs to check who was being invaded this time. It would have been a better plan to publish the daily schedules so that people could just look and plan accordingly if they wanted the achievement, in my opinion.

I need Dredgehaunt too for my achievement and I despise people who cry “I WANT MY ACHIEVEMENT KITTEN YOU RNG LOVER ANET”.
Invasions are permanent. Just wait and get your achievement.
As a final note, I have not seen any single Dredgehaunt invasion from the start of this living story and I do not give a kitten about it.
Just leave this here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scarlet%27s_Minions_Invade!/history
Not sure what time zone your in but you should have seen it on friday.

I agree with this post completely…I had to wait 3 days to finally get the invasion in Frost sound map…
By the time i am writing this post, Dredgehaunt invasion is going on btw =)

It’s no guarantee people log in the same time everyday (or even everyday for that matter). The achievements should be realistic to those who play a reasonable amount of time.
Myself personally, I log in the same time everyday but saturday was on much longer; and I have yet to see Dreadnaught cliffs as well. I don’t really care though as I already have 17 achievements for the title anyway.
Just auto-run into a corner on the map you need. If the event occurs while you’re away, you’ll come back with it completed.
Just play as usual, there’s still a little over a week left for the event to end, if it pops up you get your 25 achievement points, if it doesn’t, well, too bad.. at least it’s how I look at it. I know there are achievements I’ll never get, I just don’t obsess about them. And that is assuming the achievement goes away, as far as we know the invasions are here to stay (though at a much lower frequency, I’m guessing it’ll be something like every 3 or 4 hours like most big events are now).
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
