This is the first time that what I did as a commander had any real difference in PvE.

People spread in multiple events, listened to advice, and we manage to beat the maps every single time.

There’s actually tactics that work to make fights faster against aetherblade, molten alliance and twisted watchknights, and thanks to that, we managed to beat Scarlet every time with more than 15-20 minutes left!
Just following a certain order on picking enemies can cut an event time in more than a half! And a simple advice like “retreat when low on health and enemies will stop targeting you!” turns an area filled with downed icons into an area filled with gears to destroy.

There’s still way to go. A whole lot. But this piece of content is lightyears away from the Karka debacle. And it’s actually fun for most of those I’m seeing playing.
You can be a small party of 5 and manage to beat faraway events gerilla-style, or just join a zerg and mindlessly grind away instead bothering people in Orr and other events that spawn champions.

I hope they keep this kind of event as a rare occurrence in the future, once in a while, with a small timer and good warnings so people have time to gather. Maybe with more twists and raid-like mechanics, after commanders get improved (there’s lots of room for improvement there too).

Commanders can work in PvE too, and these events prove it!

Too bad I can’t get into an event with my party of friends…While I like this idea, we always get thrown into separate overflows. Guess I’ll have to wait for things to die down.
