So the Birthday Gift is given To People who are 1 year old, but even if the vent is over and you turn 1 year old, will you still get gift?

GW has always done birthday gifts for characters.

This is a birthday similar to GW1. It has nothing to do with the current event or any event. Once a character reaches 12 months in the /age, it will get the gift.

Are you positive if so this gives me great pleasure as i would love to have the queen as a mini hopefully this can be confirmed by a support staff.So meaning this will be the first birthday gift? Permantly? i am 10 months old so i will be off by 1 month

I’m in the same boat as Ves, also pre-ordered the digital deluxe version, and since the first day of launch made and deleted a lot of characters. Now none of the characters i made at launch exsist anymore.. so am i screwed? i dearly hope the birthday gifts count according to how old the account is and not the character.

Birthday Gift Requirements:
- Have a human character.
- Have a vague idea who Queen Jennah is.
- Have an available character slot or character significantly under level 20.
- Have very low expectations.
- Be able to force a fake smile. You should be happy, that minipet was free. And that one. And that one… that one too. Oh hey, another Queen Jennah! I wonder whats in box number six?

We use to be able to do 3x or 4x the number of emotes currently available to us, so sadly what you said might not hold true (not to mention that so far we know of only 1 mini instead of the RNG from GW1)…

It’s your character’s birthday gift, not the game’s birthday gift. You will get the birthday gift when each character turns 1 year old.

I’m pretty sure they’ve said all characters will get birthday gifts, but they will get them on their own birthday.

So if your character is 10 months old you’ll have to wait another 2 months, if they’re 6 months old you’ll have to wait another 6 months, if you’ve only just created them then you’ll have to wait a year etc. but you will get the gift eventually.

Edit: Also look at it this way: If you had known for a fact, right from launch, that they’d be giving out birthday gifts and they would be based on the characters birthday would you have kept that character you didn’t like? Or would you have decided one mini wasn’t worth it and deleted them anyway because playing a character you like is more important?

“Birthday Gifts!
As characters created right at the launch of Guild Wars 2 hit their first birthdays, it’s time to introduce our first Birthday Gift! Characters that are one year old will receive a Mini Queen Jennah, a 24-hour Birthday Booster, and a Scroll of Experience.”

This happens whenever one of your characters is a year old. You don’t miss out on anything unless you delete that character before he’s turned a year old. If you created a character 6 months ago, you simply just need to wait 6 more months to get the gift.
It isn’t any more complicated than that.

SOOOOOO Much complaining about birthday gifts.

In Guild Wars 1 you got 1 pet per character turning +1 and that was it. We didn’t get boosters or any of that kitten. The only thing I think would be reasonable to change about the tradition is to make it a set of possible mini’s instead of guaranteed Queen Jennah.

BUT, if Queen Jennah is only for those who still have a character from Launch and not every character that turns 1 at any time in the year. Then THAT Makes Queen Jennah a VERY Unique Mini. Value or status increases!

I also would like them to be sellable, but if the previous theory is true about only launch players get Queen Jennah, I think she SHOULD be Account Bound. The the regular 1 Year Mini’s should be sellable.

And I’m sure your friends don’t care if you don’t splurge on them. Will it be nice? Of course. But not expected.

Same thing with Anet. Those scrolls cost next to nothing for Anet. But it does give incentive for those who are maxed on slots to buy. But if no one buys, then Anet doesn’t care. As long as people in game have something for their dedication.

It is so sad, to see so many people complain for something they get for free. Reading this thread makes me think of the homeless that stand on the corner with their sign begging. When you give them food they get mad. Cause they only want money.

See… this is why, a year ago when I got the game, I bought my extra character slots, made my alts, and logged in on all of them so that they would all be about the same age, even if I haven’t touched my level 13 Slyvari Necro much in the last year. Yes, I did do it right.

Indeed they should. On a semi-related note, I recently logged on all my GW1 toons and got 2 Bone Dragons for 2 1 year Bday’s. Oh the irony! I wish I needed them still for HoM or GW1 was still regularily played so I could sell 1 of them. ARRRGGGHHH!!!!

It’s your character’s birthday gift, not the game’s birthday gift. You will get the birthday gift when each character turns 1 year old.

See, I need to do this, too. I also have to actually get my Hall of Monuments, so that I can get all of the points I should have coming to me. I never followed the quests to get mine. I want my twisty flame sword for my Charr Guardian.
