So last night when Harathi Hinterlands got invaded, there was a bit of a problem as far as the waypoints of the area. Many of them were contested because of other events happening at the time. Obviously during the invasion with a time limit, no one is going to stop and do the other events in order to free up the waypoints, so they stay contested for the entire duration of the invasion. Which means a lot of time wasted running to different points instead of waypointing, and / or a lot of invasion events in contested areas going unbeaten because they’re so far off and bothersome to get to. Neither of which is very good for completing a timed defense, and subsequently stopping the invasion failed.
So my thought on that would be to freeze all events (set them to completed, free up the waypoints, and prevent them from starting up again) during the invasion. That way travel would be eased
Don’t know if such a thing would actually be possible based on the game’s infrastructure, whether events can so easily be turned off like that, but if possible I think it would help on maps where multiple waypoints get contested frequently.
