So far the invasions have been superb. The amount of coordination that is needed and the rewards being vast and nice make it an amazing addition to the living story.

But…Will this have an impact on the actual world? Meaning, will there be NPCS and events that stick around, maybe perhaps reminding us of this event or events that are still trying to deal with the problem? Or will it be like F&F where everything disappears as if it never happened?

I ask this because while this addition of the living story is great so far, it will be very disappointing if nothing is left after and makes it seem like it didn’t have any impression on the world.

I heard the invasions are permanent…

Early i saw a champion twisted spider stand next to a heart npc, and they didnt even fight >_<.

It would be cool if there were siege weapons that fired on nearby cities, and break objects and stuff that can trigger “repair events” after the invasion ends.

Or maybe just a portal spawning mobs in a city.

I hope they aren’t permanent. They are a nice temporary change but I wouldn’t want to have to put up with this from now on. O.o

It’s a kitten conspiracy. Kittens gonna be kittens. All is vain!

No kitten. The Risen mobs in Orr are bad enough, and most of the waypoints can never be used. That’s part of the reason why I almost never go there.

My posts are facts as I know them, or my own opinion, and do not represent any guild.

Now that far fewer are doing ember farming (most have moved up to frost) it’s back to how it was before. The farmers are doing little to no damage in CS now. It’s just that there isn’t too many good reasons to do anything in that area now. If people were better rewarded for doing them, they would be there doing them.

There are some nice T6 mat nodes you can farm there though. Only reason I can think of to go there frequently.

The live stream says they are permanent. But that they will be less frequent. It also says we may never catch Scarlet.

I was bummed that they didn’t fight stuff at first, but then I noticed EVERY mob type is aggressive vs them, like I know that they actually stopped a Svanir invasion (it was hilarious to watch), not to mention the Molten Alliance mobs will actually help out their fellow dredge and flame legion, in Dredge Haunt the dredge were seizing all the bases and there were Molten Alliance helping out.

That being said I’d rather see the mobs spawned actively search put and destroy towns and the such, it’d be far more interesting.

They sing dark, delicious notes about power and family.
