It was stated in the advertising that the Queen would reveal something big, mind blowing, game changing. This sent the player base wild with expectations, yet the queens speech was interrupted. I can understand stand why, I mean, what villain would allow the sparks of hope to be ignited? That being said however, I would like to know when and if Jenna’s big announcement will be brought to light.

I would like to know this as well. In between people being for or against Scarlet, and them farming champs in invasions, it would seem that most people forgot there was suppose to be an important speech in this patch. One that was suppose to contain a big surprise…

And I doubt the Queen gathered everyone together just to say, “I brought you here today, because there is going to be a Sylvari supervillain attacking in 5…4…3…2..”.

Aye, they did say something about the announcement being made after the invasion was over.

I somehow doubt that. I see no possible way to tie these disjointed living story ‘chapters’ together…unless ‘time travel’ and that’s just tired.

I sincerely doubt that. The advertising team has a bad habit of stretching the truth to rile up our expectations, almost to the point of them becoming downright lies; such as the Southsun instance being a “dungeon”. Its more likely that Queen Jenna never had anything special to announce to begin with, and as such, the plot is littered with holes once again.

It’s sad when i think of tom and jerry and the term “swiss cheese”

I just hope it’s something genuinely compelling and not just a generic speech about overcoming obstacles. Dare I say it, maybe it’ll be some bad news to break up the string of festivities and constant foiling of any and all threats that have arisen so far.

Given the way that the Living Story has been going so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if that is exactly the case.
