Macros? I don't see any and this isn't WoW
Yo, Ho, thieves and beggars, never shall we die
‘Macro’ is a misused word these days. The way they’re saying it, macro is just “an extra key you can bind to do the job of another key”. If you were to do anything more, that’d be against the rules. :-/
thanks for explanation

That looks like a general gaming keyboard reskinned for GW2 and being sold as specific for it. I haven’t used any macros and I’ve been playing since launch, but I’m open to the possibility of just not knowing about it…
But I still doubt about how much that keyboard really is made for this game. Why are the arrow keys included in the " 20 of the most commonly used keys" for the “Superior anti-ghosting” feature? I’ve never used those keys. Much more important for GW2 would be F1-F4, I believe.
Still on the arrow keys issue, why the two extras if we barely used the original ones?
I’m not convinced that that’s a specific GW2 oriented product, at all.
Then again, it might just be me.
Actually, according to the rules, macro could also mean a key to do several things.
At least as far as I’ve read it at least, don’t really have any programable hardware for that, it’s ok as long as the “1 key, 1 action” rule is followed. For example, if you’re playing a greatsword warrior, and programmed a key so that with 1 press your warrior throws his sword at the enemy (4), rushes it (5), does hundred blades (2) and then whirlwinds away (3 twice) it would be considered botting and grounds for suspension or bannning. But having a key so that the first time you press it does 4, second time you press it does 5, third time does 2, and then fourth and fifth time does 3 would probably be ok.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
well i keybind EVERYTHING my hands are too big for the tiny, tiny little hands of what seems to be most players because the standard layout doesn’t work AT ALL for me.
1234 just doesn’t make sense. If i lay my left hand on the keyboard can easily touch the tab key with my pinky and the 6 key with my first finger and thumb on space bar just below the M key. So everything else is bound according to ease of reach. WHich is why i’m not a WASD guy(Though that’s pretty much standard cause gamers have small hands :P) NEways i just wish the 1234 commands could be moved around like literally flip the auto attack to 4 rather then 1, keybinding helps but its the reverse when looking at the screen compared to keyboard layout when i keybind.

It looks like it was made as a generic gaming keyboard and then they did a deal with Anet and re-skinned it to be GW2 themed. So the specifications are probably copied from the companies own website and within that probably copied to all keyboards with those features.
Having said that you could use macros in GW2, you’d just need to use the keyboards software to set them up instead of doing it in-game and anything other than 1:1 bindings are against the rules. Which makes a gaming keyboard a little pointless IMO.

If they’re making deals with keyboard manufacturers, I’d expect they’d at least make sure the product had indeed relevant features for GW2, not just general gaming aids (some of which don’t particularly apply to game).
I dislike this false advertising and wish ArenaNet would disapprove of it as well, in the interest of their player community, instead of associating themselves with what seems to be a poor product and decieving marketing.
