I have been playing with my husband and we have been doing the same events together all day.

We have been going to each map that Scarlet attacks and sticking with it all the way to completion on every map.

He now has 5 invasions stopped while I only have 3 invasions stopped. Why did I stop receiving credit for the events? Now he can go to the funhouse and I cannot.

I cannot find another thread explaining this so I am starting this one. Please help, I really don’t want hours upon hours of my play time simply wasted.

Were you close to the final Scarlet battle during the events? That is my best guess, as the achievement talks about being close enough to the portal closing to get readings.

I received the rewards each time… and every time except once (the last one I did) I actually took part in killing her at the end.

Then i have no idea.

I think there’s an issue with counting things w/ this patch. I’m still at 0/5 for portals closed for the Swift Closer achievement. However, you’re issue sounds a bit worse, as it’s more or less an hour wasted… =/

Because of this glitch I haven’t gotten ‘Portal Invasion Closer’ finished, I did not get credit for doing Fireheart Rise, and of course it sucked up 2 hours of my life for nothing… which I will now have to repeat at a later time to catch up to my husband who did get the credit playing alongside me.

I also haven’t gotten credit for completing Fireheart rise; I’ve gained the event rewards 2 times from there but neither of those counted towards any achievements (both of those attempts were in overflow and failed). However, I’ve gained rewards from failed overflow events on other maps and they counted towards th achievements that require completions on different maps. Is there something going on?

i got credit for fireheart rise, but i’m stuck at 3/5 too… i thought it was because the 4th time it was in fireheart rise again

This has happened to me too. Just finished up Blazeridge for the first time, and it should have been my 7th invasion. However, I’m still stuck at 6.

It’s a lot of time to spend on an event that doesn’t give credit, so it is quite irritating.

Interestingly enough, I received credit on my first event in sparkfly fen after failing it. I then completed the event and attacked scarlet in lornar’s pass and fireheart rise and did not receive credit for either of those. :\

I can’t even get to a invasion event…end up on a overflow server which says invasion event is not happening on this world or something similar…

Loads of confused people on my server judging from map chat…

Can’t do gauntlet/pavilion…players don’t understand why…

Can’t do invasions…players don’t understand why…

Most are just assuming its full of bugs as usual…and playing something else…

Same issue here as well. I have done 5 maps as of right now and out of those 5 I killed Scarlet three times and failed two times. I only got 2/5 for the Portal Invasion Closer achievement! so 3 out of those tries didn’t count which is kind of irritating. I really want to get into the Playhouse and get those achievements done but I don’t know when that will happen… I think this is a big issue many players are facing (I know certain guildies of mine had the same problem) and needs to get fixed asap!

I’m having the same problem, I have a holographic communicator and I am still at 0/5 despite clearing and succeeding more than 7 times only duplicating a map once. I have tried it on an alt as well, succeeded and had the same results.

happened serveral times to me also, once in harrati hiterlands, just in field of ruins, during both I did dc and did join back in and 2 times in fireheart rise. At all events I was close to scarlet at the end. If they did not bug out I would only need gandaran fields at this point. Now I still need fireheart rise and field of ruins also. Very irritating.

3 times now I have participated in the event taking place in Fields of Ruin. All three times I have not been in overflow. On the third time I finally received Achievement credit for the zone. This meta chain is borked. And no response from Anet on this is stupid.

The same thing has happened to me with my Girlfriend. I have not gotten the credit for completing the event in 3 out of the 7 maps we did the invasion on. Each time I am as close to Scarlet as being a GS-warrior can get.

So whats the solution?
