So hmm… yeah… Queen’s is safe, scarlet is on the loose, aetherblade will still bug us, Logan and Shining Blade Lady get in a quarrel, major revelation? I don’t get it… is it that on September 3rd kids are going back to school? Because so far I have not feel any “major” excitement about some important news, revelation… Anyone know what’s up with that or maybe I just completely missed it? 0.o

I’m a little surprised at how many of these threads are popping up so I’ll answer this one for those who don’t get it. Note that it’s not as interesting when you have to explain it.

The Queen’s Speech was a ruse. Anet vandalized and defaced the Queen’s Speech page over time, ultimately revealing the actual content release to be Clockwork Chaos. There is no speech. In-game, Jennah was going to give a speech, but it gets interrupted right at the start, in the cutscene with Lord Faren. So the speech was effectively canceled by Scarlet’s attack on the Pavilion, as hinted at by the vandalizing of the release page.

To add to what Leablo said: At the end of Scarlet’s Playhouse Anise and Jennah apologize to Logan for all the misdirection. The Speech was simply a ruse to flush out Scarlet.

If she hadn’t been interupted it would have been funny to watch Jennah flounder…“Thanks for gathering here to celebrate me for 10 yrs!! Yea…..thanks! um…..that’s all I wrote cuz I was expecting to get cut off but uh….yea….Logan has funny toes!!!” <exit stage left>

That’s not much of a revelation. It was like being handed a huge carton of ‘Moose Tracks Ice Cream’ and opening it to reveal that the contents were nothing but overcooked brussel sprouts.

Seriously, you need to work much harder on you “Analogy Merit Badge”.

i totally think confusion is warranted here. i mean, are we to believe that the Queen and Anise staged a ruse in the form of PUBLIC speech that endangered the lives of countless innocent civilians simply to flush out Scarlet? it makes zero sense. Queen Jennah might not be smart enough to cover her nasty feet in a pair of shoes but she can’t be that daft, can she? i want a better explanation of events but it’s doubtful that that will happen.

What does being barefoot have to do with intelligence? Perhaps she just likes the feel of the natural floor when she walks instead of shoes. Please don’t equate unrelated concepts or a person’s preferences to intelligence.

I am a HUGE fan of GW2 and Anet in general, well, because they made GW2. Anyways, no matter what has happened in the past I’ve stood up for the game, tried to rationalize, and convince others that the game is fantastic (it really is). Lately, the Living Story has really felt like it is ramping up to something great and I’m always reminding my friends that, saying to give Anet a bit more time.

This, this is the only time I’ve felt so let down. Deflated. Hell, there is almost a tear in my eye. The hype was ridiculous for the Queen’s Speech and how it was to have some huge ultra mega announcement. Fizzle. Nothing.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy killing stuff for loots. The Pavillion and Gauntlet are GREAT and the invasions are fun, but man. I feel so let down. I was actually expecting something.

I still love the game and Anet, but won’t let myself get so excited over any future “oh my gosh just you wait” announcements.

please don’t assume i’m being serious! plenty of people on the boards make fun of Jennah for not wearing shoes. it’s not meant to be serious.
