It does feel like there will be a little twist but unlike the patches with twists, this one seems very lacking in content. Other then a speech, which i believe will be a 5 min instanced event where something goes wrong and some vague fixes to wvw and pve we really do not get anything? Also when is this queens gauntlet going away, I want it to stop haunting me.

It is not out yet. It might be the most awesome update in the history of ever or it might be “Canach’s Lair” kind of bad.
Just one more day. Let’s see what we get. I have this feeling that ANet wants it to look “lacking” just to surprise us with something awesome. I am hoping for a dungeon.

But I personally think it will be cool if they have some big cool stuff planned.

The way they have hyped it up with the vandalism, pocket watches, poem… I feel like this SHOULD mean something bigger than usual is coming.

This is the first upate from the new teams split up, which means they have had 4 weeks to put this together, should be beefy…

Don’t burn stuff beforehand, so before it’s actually been released. First play it, then judge it I always say.

There will be content, they just didn’t announce it because that will be spoiler. New content will be something that is related with what will happen on queen speech.

Since we don’t know barely any details, we can’t really give an opinion on it yet. They didn’t even seem to let Dulfy do the usually day before preview on it either. That means there are at least a couple of secrets in the patch. Whether those secrets are actually good, on the other hand, is another matter all together.

I think I’ll stick to the middle of the road expectations. They might add a couple of things I like to the patch, but that’s is all I’m really expecting. If im wrong, and they add all kinda of awesome to this patch, I’ll be pleasantly surprises. If it turns out kinda “meh”, I’ll only be mildly disappointed.

And if they do another Canach-like patch, I’ll probably take another break from the game for awhile…

Actually the first FF part was lacking in Living World Story, but had some massive general fixes: The Orr Rework, Profession Fixes, skill reworks,…

And yes, I think they didn’t show a lot on purpose and this part is more Story focused (and hell we can still farm the crown pavillion, who needs something else.)

I wonder if “The Queen’s Speech” will even be the real name of the patch. After all, in the release page, the name is vandalized as well. Maybe it could be “vandalized” further later, changing the name of the release.

You can’t see it as content like that each patch. The speech is part of the jubilee, and it’s the ending for the story.

It’s not the ending for the story. It ties up the parts and loose ends of the living stories from the past, but the living story itself will continue.

Seen a ton of stuff from dataminers and talked with them. Don’t get your hopes up for big new features. As far as I could see the big surprise is just the living story continuing. Most likely some kind of instance and that’s it. I hope I’m wrong though.

I don’t know how this data mining works, but don’t they get it out of the current patched client? Maybe the whole data for the queens speech isn’t in the client yet? But then… I have absolutely no idea :P

Better wait after you have experienced the content before coming to conclusions The speech will definitly longer than 5 minutes.
