What do you think Scarlet will do now that we reverted her funhouse back to the crown pavilion? Keep in mind that she did NOT die, she escaped when she got defeated. So that monster is still out there. What do you think she will do next?

My prediction:

From reading the mini-story article about Scarlet and what’s been happening in the game, I predict that she will try to convert sylvari into a new court, with her own beliefs that follows neither the pale tree nor the nightmare court. She will try to form an army of sylvari rebels that don’t want to be associated with the pale tree or nightmare court (maybe the Soundless).

She will get the inquest to join her side as well, providing extra technology and artillery for her army. (She will also have the aetherblades and twisted watchknights on her side as well since they are already on her side) This process would be done in the shadows and for 2-4 weeks there wont be any news of what Scarlet is doing, but there will be other hints that the Peacemakers and Wardens will eventually figure out (such as wardens seeing more inquest traveling near some suspicious areas in Astorea, thereby asking the Peacemakers from Rata Sum for some reinforcement in Caledon Forest)

Once the rumors of a possible war/invasion is confirmed, the chaos that Scarlet always wanted would begin. Asagai, a retired iron legion charr that tried ending Scarlet earlier, will try to gather iron legion troops to stop the invading forces and scarlet’s minions. The Shining Blade will side with the Wardens, Peacemakers, and the Iron Legion as well.

A son/daughter of Omadd will also bring the College of Synergetics together to construct technology that will help the Peacemakers, Wardens, Shining Blade and Iron Legion to seek revenge against Scarlet for killing Omadd.

Reasoning for these predictions:
-Scarlet and the Inquest got along so it would make sense if they sided with her

-Scarlet constructed the Twisted army and hired aetherblades so it would make sense if they sided with her

-It would make sense if there was a big war because in the article she wanted for there to be chaos, and for a continent to fall, etc.

-It would make sense for her to try to get sylvari rebels to join her since she doesn’t like neither the Nightmare Court or the Pale tree (read the article)

-It would make sense for the Wardens and Peacemakers to try to stop her, since the Peacemakers kicked her out of Rata Sum in the first place and she hates the Pale Tree.

-It would make sense for the Shining Blade and Iron Legion to try to stop her, since she tried capturing Queen Jennah, and she betrayed an old iron legion soldier.

I know they probably have all the content already figured out and this is a very lengthy prediction, but its what I believe would or SHOULD happen since there really hasn’t been much war in months.

I hope they make her do something wich explains the need for her to target the human queen and this whole invasion deal being necessary in any way for her plans, because the backstory gave no insight on that at all.

I think she did that to make the whole human race angry and cause chaos, since it would be a perfect opportunity to.

i haven’t gotten through all of clockwork chaos.. but, is that what happens?
she just slithers off?

i actually somewhat enjoyed the scarlet backstory they typed out, of course the in-game presentations of her have been pretty lame.. Actual in-game lore provided through gw2 is little and far between.. and i’m not just talking ‘yeah, there’s lore in the game’ i mean genuinely intriguing moments

scarlet’s actions are more cliché than her backstory now.. though, one could argue a bad person is just going to do bad things.. and in a game it has to look cinematically lame?
i think “what scarlet saw” was just vague enough and interesting enough to get the idea that she has some convoluted idea of balance

if you want to get a glimpse of a good range of writing with surreal yet somewhat believable villains i suggest everyone sit down with a nice japanese light novel, here in america it’s mostly “i’ll get you my pretties, and your little dog too” paired with “oh nos, a time bomb in more than one place”

i do like the large scale invasions, in a broken down place like tyria of the gw2 timeframe, she seems rather formidable.. but if the mmo still gets customers then i’m pretty sure scarlet is out of business because she will be crushed by the playerbase

lastly and personally, i’m just wondering will scarlet cry and will a main character from the series point out that she would have been better as an ally in the battles yet to come

my reason is because her motivation seems to be completely psychological and will there be remorse during her defeat.. i highly doubt we are looking at an anti-villain developement with her as she is Highly damaged and would only be useful in a very ‘isolated-circumstance’ type of way.. but then again, we have heros in this game like Logan and his queen who aren’t good for anything other than getting people killed

She’s like Harley Quinn imo
