The invasions happen about once per hour (deduced time), each time happening in a different map (the Living World UI should show you which one, I believe). Each invasion lasts 45 minutes, so you’ll have to wait up to ~15 minutes after the last one before the next invasion occurs. Any overflows that are opened within 10 minutes of the invasion beginning will also host an invasion.

Apparently, you get a notice ingame after several minutes.
Finding the content seems to be getting HARDER each patch, not easier…sheesh…
EDIT: Sorry about that. Just find that ‘uberSylvari’ a major buzzkill. The only thing that’ll fix it is if it turns out not to be a Sylvari…

Unless an event is active, that’s completely unclear. And judging by the map chat, I’m far from the only one.
